Rural America: The Plight of Small Landowners and Their Environment

    in Politics Conservative

On this week's edition of NORTH FLORIDA WRITER TALKS, host James Dick, a regular contributor to the Conservative Report and blogger through his own web site, North Florida Writer, northfloridawriter.com  will lead a discussion of the plight of small rural landowners facing the pressure of development in rural North Florida. The show should be of benefit to all who love the rural lifestyle as the American landscape is under threat of urbanization from sea to shining sea.  James will be joined by two landowners in the middle of the struggle for retention of their lifestyle, one a retired NCIS agent and the other a housewife, turned activist, when she realized after she had raised her family that the environment she loved and in which she had lived her entire life was collapsing around her,  Topics will include:

    PROPERTY RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

THE IMPACT OF LOBBYISTS ON THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS

ACTION STEPS WHICH CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

THE PROPER BALANCE BETWEEN URBAN AND RURAL

Whether you are Conservative, Liberal or somewhere in between, if you live in, or want to maintain a  reasonable rural presence in America, this show has something for you. After all, do we really need another strip mall or postage stamp lot development at every bend on the country road?

    WHO Did It?

    in Spirituality

Trusting God will lead you to true success and a healthy lifestyle. When we experience hardships in life, sometimes we wonder, "why did this happen?" and "whose fault is it?". Sadly, a lot of people blame God for their hardships and forget that the enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy. It is time for us, as children of God to blame the accuser and stand up for Jesus. Follow God and learn how to enjoy your life in spite of tough situations.

Lifestyle of Love; It's Easy to Point the Finger; Check your Love Walk Pt.4

    in Religion

If we can fully understand just how much God loves us, it will cast out all fear. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18a). And God’s love is not a natural love, like we know here on earth. God’s love is powerful.  It carries incredible life-changing power. Too often, when faced with crippling fear or anxiety, we strive hard to find a solution. We read, study, listen and do things to find that elusive freedom from fear. “I’ll try harder, learn more, overcome, beat this thing…” Sound familiar?

God’s love for us is supernatural–it goes beyond our natural understanding and reasoning. It carries great power–power to heal, set free, cleanse and bring peace.
