On this MMA edition of Carson's Corner, we welcome back to the show Sam Hoger. He really needs no introduction to any fan of mixed martial arts. He's a first-generation Ultimate Fighter TV show star and he's a talented and intelligent person. He has two degrees from LSU in political science. He is also going to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. We'll talk to Sam about this, his career, current endeavors and much more on Carson's Corner.
In our next interview, we welcome Pete Moran, business partner-slash-associate of former MMA fighter Mike Swick. Our lawyers here at Carson's Corner have advised me to read the following before getting into this controversial interview:
"Our company, Carson's Corner, Inc., accepts no liability for the content of this interview, or for the consequences of any actions taken on the basis of the information provided. All viewpoints, facts, opinions, statements, averments, disclosures, burps, farts or throat-clearings are those of Mr. Moran and do not necessarily reflect the views of Carson's Corner Inc."
Catch all the action at 8pm est, on Friday, June 24th.

On the Thursday July 24th 2014 broadcast at 4PM Pacific/7PM Eastern our special guest is illustrator, designer, creator and idea guy Bob Staake.
More about Bob:
'In a recent online interview, Drawn.ca suggested that "to say Bob Staake is just an illustrator is like saying 'The Beatles' were just a bunch of musicians; the title doesn't do the artist justice" and Publisher's Weekly commented that "Bob Staake's modern, crisp illustrations ... practically jump off the page."
'One of the nation's most successful illustrators, his clients have included The New Yorker, TIME, McDonald's, Vanity Fair, Amtrak, Young & Rubicam, American Express, Sony, United Airlines, Nickelodeon, Sports Illustrated For Kids, Ralston Purina, Hallmark Cards, Kenner Toys, US News and World Report, Fortune, The Washington Post, AT&T, Sega, TWA, Dr.Pepper, The Chicago Tribune, Good Humor, Warner Books, Kellogg's, Cartoon Network, Turner Broadcasting, The Wall Street Journal, AOL/Time Warner, Forbes, Simon and Schuster, The Ren and Stimpy Show, MAD, USA Today, Children's Television Workshop, Blockbuster Video, The Walt Disney Company, Anheuser-Busch, Doubleday, Klutz Press, Hershey's, Target Stores, Miami Herald, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Fleishman-Hillard, DMBB, and countless others.

Join me at The Grumpy Gator Café for a shot of inspirational espresso with a side of quirky wit and satire. This show offers a different view on self-help.
Tonight I discuss the notion of living with, loving or being the "expert." I HATE when I become "the expert." I hate when I need others to kiss my ass and tell me I am awesome. Why do I do that?
What about you? Do you do that? Do you live with a self-proclaimed expert, a pompous prognosticator and just want to just punch them in the face or kick them in the balls? Then you need to listen.
I am is a fiery and outspoken humorist who combines his E-True Hollywood life story, improvisational theatre and play-writing talents, psychological and theological education and counseling profession into an action packed show of ideas, commentary and insights that hopefully inspire you to improve the quality of your life by getting your head out of your ass and your ass off of the couch.

BOB DARBY, ADVOCATE FOR THE HOMELESS MENTALLY ILL - Thursdays, 3pmEST ~ Darby has been an advocate for the homeless mentally ill for more than twenty years. He has a B.A. in psychology from Emory University. Please call to speak on air at (347) 857-3293 for all broadcasts. Darby studied in psychology and theology in graduate school. He is a former employee of Georgia Regional Hospital, Boston State Hospital, and New Hampshire's Hanover-Darthmouth Hospital. In 1994, he co-founded Atlanta Food Not Bombs. Darby explains that people with serious mental illness are deliberately rendered homeless in the United States of America and deprived of psychiatric and medical health care services. This is unacceptable. Voters should petition elected officials to improve treatment and subsistence opportunities for mentally ill people and those with substance abuse issues. Critical Conversations works beyond the headline, removes the agenda and talks about what today's news really means.
Join us as Senior Editor Jim Picht and Editor in Chief Lisa Ruth discuss the top issues of the week, going beyond the headlines for an in-depth discussion and analysis of this week’s top stories.
Ruth, a former CIA officer and an expert on international relations, and Picht, a PhD economist and professor at Louisiana Honors College, will start by discussing the implications of the dueling Obamacare rulings this week. What does it mean now, and what does it mean for the long term? Are we headed for a Supreme Court showdown?
Business editor and long-time investor Terry Ponick will then join them for a discussion of the recent statements by Fed Chair Janet Yellen, including the domestic and international impact of tightening the money supply. What do her conflicting signals on unemployment and inflation mean? What does all of this mean for the markets and investors?
Political columnist Jennifer Oliver O’Connell will talk about the illegal immigration protests across the country this weekend and examines why Hollywood activists are so far mute on the border crisis. What is behind the public reaction? Will Congress address the crisis before the recess next week?
Finally, travel expert Bob Taylor will look at the impact of global events, including the air tragedies, on travel. He will also address the growing popularity of river cruises, which is changing the way people travel.
