Unemployment always has been higher for Blacks that for Whites. Blacks were #2, and Whites were #1 and Mexicans were counted with Whites. Blacks could read and write, even before schools were integrated. Black men and black women worked even before civil rights. The difference was the jobs allowed and the pay provided. All kinds of people are looking for paychecks. Blacks, Mexicans, and Whites. And one thing I detest. Teens having to work to make a better life for

The painful memory of Trayvon Martin, the young unarmed teen who was murdered by the self appointed neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman, has been revived by the insensitivity of those who believed it was acceptable to dress in black face and a bloody hoody for Halloween, 2013.
While the outrage of their poor costume choice has been wide spread over the internet, there are some in the black community that feel blacks are just too sensitive. Are black people just "too sensitive" as it relates to black face and the racial connotations they represent?
Join host Kay Quinn as she and co-hosts Raymond Kirk and Michael Flemons discuss this new fixation on the black face controversy.

Black Americans have always had problems with the media's love affair with Blacks. However, it is this love affair that has tainted the view of Black women with a negative image. The black woman is protrayed as disloyal, dishonest, loud, aggressive, con artist, sexual objects to be disrespected, not worthy of healthy relationships and so much more. This forum will discuss candidly and openly these issues. We will also discuss how the black man has contributed to the negative view of the black woman.

On this week’s episode of Love & Life w/ Nic Nice I’ll break down The exceptioNOLES campaign, how it’s different from other alumni efforts & why the issues are bigger than Homecoming Events. I’ll talk about my involvement with the various FSU alumni groups (FSU YAM, BAA, ASC), the behind the scenes politics of getting involved, apathy among black alumni & the business behind being an alumni at FSU. Lastly, I will GO IN on the haters, the crabs in the barrel & so-called "educated" blacks who’d rather point fingers and deflect responsibility, than take action. I’ll also set the record straight and clear up any mistruths, misunderstandings or down right lies being told. If you’re a member of an alumni group or a black alum with questions or comments, I encourage you to call in.
Join us as we are join by the famed Dr. Ray Winbush to discuss the concept of white supremacy and it's impact on non whites globally, it's trend in history and the impacting throughout history to today.
