Career - The Black Woman’s Supreme Sacrifice?

    in Religion

During the past one-hundred years women have made social and financial gains that are unprecedented.  This is even truer of Black Women compared to Black Men.  Black Women have far surpassed Black Men as college graduates.   These days, possessing a bachelors degree is deemed to be the first significant step to gaining social and financial gains.  The gains don’t stop there.  Increasingly Black Women are found in prominent positions in business, government, medicine and politics.  But what is the cost?  What are the sacrifices?  Is it all worth it?  Is there a way to have it all?

Please feel free to phone into the Virtual Living room with your comments or questions.  We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Mon 8:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Thu 8:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am.  All times are Eastern Standard Time.

    GOD'S GIFT SUNDAY #LesaBelle #GospelMusic 323.927.2913

    in Music

    Hosted By: Lesa Marie Belle

As we go about our everyday lives, we encounter highs, lows, joy, sadness and various emotions as the world has a tendency to beat us up and bring us joy all at the same time.  Some of us will take the good with the bad & keep it moving. We get home and if we're lucky we have someone to vent to and discuss our hectic day with. So many of us are going through trials and tribulations, health issues, financial troubles, living from paycheck to paycheck, or with no check.   We' re faced with heartache, disappointment, loneliness, anger, and all too often we aren't able to easily shake it off or to talk about it with someone. We keep issues bottled up, maybe because we don't feel comfortable with sharing with others or we fear judgment for the issues we have or the things we're going through. Do you find yourself looking to the heavens and asking " Why me God?"  We've all been there and we all need to be restored! We're seeking answers and questioning "What is going on?"  Mind, body, soul & spirit need restoration.  Lord, please come by here and restore our minds, bodies, souls and spirits.

    Peace & Blessings,

    Lesa M. Belle

    S.M.Y.L.A.D.O.N.
SysteMatic Young Lyricist Among Dis Other Nonesense

Born Jerrold Michael McWilliams originally from California now residing in Minnesota has had music a part of his life before birth. S.M.Y.L.A.D.O.N. did not aspire to be a musician, music called to him and he has answered. God, family, you, hip hop, and then himself. His lyrics are raw, truthful, and relevant to all men and women regardless age or race and will remain so as long as people go through. Speaking in a language that people can understand to reach them where ever they are in their walk, and motivating them to keep pressing. He has a way of making the listener actively engage and examine self and the world around them by masterfully blending God, politics, and social issues. Short and sweet, all glory to God for giving and allowing me to use this gift to further his kingdom and minister to the hearts and minds of his children saved or unsaved. "A higher power gave me the skill to rap divine and go hard so if i quit rhyming then i wouldn't be in compliance with God..." (S.M.Y.L.A.D.O.N.)

  • Men as Gentle Warriors

    in Spirituality

Join Jim Graywolf and Rod Feigle - Grandfathers Around the Fire - for a LIVE webcast about Men as Gentle Warriors on Ciracle Radio on Sunday, 8/2 at 1 PM MST, 3 PM EST, 12 PM PST, 8 PM London and 10 PM Israel time. This is another of the web of life series we are presenting. Come join us by clicking the picture link below at show time.

Rod and Jim’s Grandfathers Around the Fire Radio Shows are joining the other Ciracle Radio shows already airing. We will look at topics that interest and concern the men who have or are now spiritually awakening - and wondering how men need to adapt with the changing times before us. And we especially hope the women will join the circle as well, with their thoughts and input as men have on the Women’s Healing Hour.

For our first show we will be digging into how men see themselves and how women see them in today’s world. And talk about ways men can move away from the fierce warriors and fighters they have been trained to be and become strong, but gentle, warriors. What is the difference? Is there one? What do the women of the spiritual circles need from the men now? And the men from the women?

There is a lot to discuss here. Please - be with us so we can all grow together.

The talking stick is now YOURS! Come join us and share your thoughts - or decide to just listen. Hit the link below just before show time.

We invite listeners to come and participate in the discussion and the sharing of knowledge. And we thank all our listeners for truly “being” the shows we air. Join us!

Truthsharks Radio Presents: Prophet or Loss?-Why I No Longer Tithe

    in Christianity

Welcome to the WVEB presentation of Prophet or Loss?, a division of Truthsharks Radio. I am your host and friend, DJ Southeast Vince, comin' at ya' all the way from a place called Durham, NC. On this show, I will tackle the errors that are prevalent in today's churches such as mandatory tithing, manipulated offerings, church hierarchies, the church building as the house of God, spiritual submission, name-it-and-claim-it, and whatever. If you are an agnostic, atheist, or simply a hater of Christianity, this show is not for you. If you have a question or comment, feel free to call in and state your case, just be sure to season your comments well with respect. So come listen to a man who is black, Christian, and conservative.

On today's show, I will discuss why I no longer tithe and why you shouldn't either. I will also discuss a note someone left in the handle of my screen door recently.
