Whether it's a "sexy thug" like Jeremy Meeks to have them swinging from the ceiling, or a handsome/wholesome man of God to pray with them... exactly what qualities are most important to black women when seeking a husband remains up for debate. Please join me on "The Dedan Tolbert Show" tonight at 9:00pm EST, for a rebroadcast of my special on "What do Black Women Want in a Man" where we discussed the main reasons many women are unable to recognize a truly great man when they see one. Please join us Sunday at 10AM CST as we discuss we leadership, or the lack thereof, in the Black community.
Has the current leadership failed us? Why or why not?
Is it time for the current leadership to share the roles or vacate? It's not as though we need their permission.
What type of leadership is needed in the Black community?
Where do we start? Has the #Ferguson uprising ignited a kindling fire?
What do we need in terms of resources?
Who are our true allies? Have some of our trusted allies betrayed us?
Where are the Democrats?
Why are some wealthy Blacks telling us to stop protesting and go home?
Is prayer the answer?
Why is there a deafening silence in the secular community?
Why do some of these people take our loyalty for granted? Some feel entitled to it.
Is it time for a change? What? Who? Why?
Where do we go from here?
Why are the Millennials so important to this paradigm shift?
Let's talk about. Open discussion. Open chatroom this week.

Somewhere in America, right now, Black Women are asking Black Men, each other and anyone who will listen how to find a good Black Man to date. The easier question is how do they NOT date Black Men? In other words, what are the things that Black Women should avoid when dating Black Men so that the dating process can actually progress into something more?
The question has to be asked: How many Black women want to date a Black man who talks incessantly about how whorish, greedy and bitchy Black women are? Think about this when dating Black Men.
For my Sisters who still have faith in us, leave the negativity campaign for the girl’s night out and approach us with hope, open dialogue with a positive, productive goal, concern for the future of Black relationships, and Black families. We have plenty to discuss outside of how horrible you may think we are and many of us are still hopeful about Black women.
On the next episode of "The Bridge," Darryl James will provide insight to Black Women on how NOT to date a Black Man. Co-hosts, Tracy Powell, Marcus D. LeGall, III, Dr. John Hamilton and DJ Gates join James on one of the smartest radio shows on the Internet.
