ISSUES CONCERNING WOMEN
Welcome to Issues Concerning Women with your host Francine Humphrey.
Issues Concerning Women focuses on women and their families reaching long and short term goals. Assisting them in the areas of business, careers, housing, finance, and life skills.
We offer advocacy services to infuse and stabilize households and foster a sense of community involvement, self-worth, & self-determination.
Our vision is to empower women through hands on demonstrations, details of homeownership, career development, investing for retirement, exercise and nutrition classes, entrepreneurship, relationship building, and adult literacy programs.
We are dedicated to making a difference.
Our mission is to create economic independence for all women by providing a voice to those that would otherwise not be heard. ICW was created to encourage all to take charge of their lives and become educated and savvy about all aspects of life

Welcome to Women Making Sense of Sex (and everything else) at 60! In this episode, join my co-host Iris Bieri and in a lively conversation about the changes that we women face after menopause and as we enter into our 60's. What makes this time unique for us?
Our bodies are changing radically and we are no longer oriented towards having children and being in relationship. We are also facing the loss of our roles as mothers, sexual partners (for some of us) wives, and for some of us we are facing retirement and or the loss of our careers. We are entering into a time when many things that we have hooked our identity on to are changing and we are faced with "now what?" and "who am I?".
Many of us feel alone in this and isolated. That is why we're talking about this! So, join us and other women in this candid open conversation about what goes on beneath the surface and feel connected to the rhythme of your natural blueprint. Nothing is wrong with you! It is just time to step fully into your changes and embrace your authenticity.
This show is also great for you younger women wondering what you have to look forward to as you move through into maturity!
This October, Franchise Interviews is featuring “Great Women Leaders in Franchising” month. We are first meeting with Susan Black-Beth. Susan is the Chief Operating Officer of Super Wash, Inc., the nation’s largest self-serve car wash franchisor, which was founded by my parents. Prior to assuming the role of COO, Susan served as Senior Vice President and Director of Franchising from the inception of the Super Wash franchise program in November, 2000. When Susan was 19 years old she bought her first Super Wash(r) car wash with my sister. Susan was featured in the January 2011 issue of Franchise Times as one of the “20 to Watch” in 2011; received the IFA’s prestigious Bonny LeVine Award for mentoring and promoting women in franchising in 2012; and am the proud recipient of the 2013 Crystal Compass given by the IFA’s Women’s Franchise Committee celebrating leadership in franchising, company and/or community.
Next, we are meeting with Ann Connor of AdviCoach. Ann recently received a Crystal Award from WEBB Women Empowered by Business. Every year, WEBB - Women Empowered by Business, an organization designed to support, encourage and empower women to go into business and to grow their business, recognizes select female entrepreneurs for their exceptional success and mentorship to other women in business.
The life coach, John Davis Marshall, along with other spiritual minded people of God, discuss how God seeks to lead women to do wondrously well. Individuals and groups have their views of family. Most often, the view is a “law” view. Even, the most conscientious compassionate ones host a law view of family. God has a view. Always, His view is a “grace” view. And as always, His view is the best view. Join with us in a discussion forum of life-enriching topics that will help us to do wondrously well according to a grace view. Indeed it is true, a better you begins with a grace view of God!
