Tonight on Beyond the Veil, we will be speaking with the Dallas Chairman of the New Black Panthers Party Bobby Johnson. In light of recent and current events, we have seen attacks against the New Black Panthers from different media sources. It is the view of Anonymous North Texas that it is imperative that all activists begin working together and setting minor differences aside. At the end of the day we are all fighting the same battles from our own perspectives, and the rights and freedoms that we stand for are deserved by all.
Join us at 7pm central as we set the record straight.
Many people believe the Black Panthers were an militant group that believed in killing those that killed African Americans.
Some people would have us believe the panthers were on the same level as the Ku Klux Klan.
Today we will discuss exactly what the panthers actually stood for before the government decided they were a militant group.
So come join us for great conversation here on LETS TALK.
We'll deal with some Little Known Facts about the Black Power Movement and some of the Community Programs that the Black Panthers started.
We'll also deal with the History of April Fool's Day!!!
Blacks were discriminated against and lynched years ago in this country. Whites had all the priveledge. So the Civil Rights Act of 1964 gave blacks their rights. It was suppose to be a good thing. But what happened is that the crime and rape rate went up. The black-on-white crime soared. So this Civil Rights Act really opened a can of worms. I believe the white and black race cannot co-exist together. Because one race will always suffer. Because if whites rule then its blacks that are oppressed and discrimated against. So then if we abolish those type of things it will then be the whites who will suffer. Because crime on whites will now go up, jobs will be given to minorities over white men. They will make the tests easier for blacks. Its a screwed up cycle and it has been since day one. Whites and blacks will never live in total fairness together. There will never be a harmonius balance between whites and blacks simply because someone will always suffer. There will always be racial tension.
Audiofix with host Lisa Jackson interviews some of todays most interesting people. Todays guest is acclaimed accademic and Author, Sanderia Smith. So tune in Wednesday, November 24th at 11am CST or 12n EST, as we interview Sanderia Smith.
Join Shabaka and Jerry as they discuss black economics and black empowerment for the Melanated family. Tonight's episode will include Black economics, reinvesting in our community, flexing our buying power, and other ways to strengthen the Melanated Nation.
The reason we are focusing on Black economics today is because at some point we seem to have forgotten the importance of working together. From the time Black people arrived in this nation, whether by force or by choice,we knew that our best chance for survival was by working together. Whether it be sharing a garden tool or sharing a small kitchen, blacks knew that combining resources would improve our living conditions; Even when we could not physically fight for freedom we pooled our resources to purchase it for those of us who where up for sale.
So as you can see the Melanated man has always known that our unity is a powerful tool. Let get back to the old ways of our wise forerunners and build a great Black community that is focused on taking care of one another and doing what's right.
