Tune into Anita Talks Genealogy for a rebroadcast of an episode on the history behind Black Minqua The Life and Times of Henry Green.
In Black Minqua, a time period from the late 1600's through the 1900's is covered. From the late 1700's through the 1900's, the people living on the Welsh Mountains were vilified and treated as outcasts. They were the remnants of Negro/Indians who remained in an area of White Settler Farmers from Europe. Yet they were self-sufficient, Land Owners and Businessmen.
Thomas and Joseph Green owned Warranted and Patented land in Chester County (East Caln) in the early 1700's. The Patents were signed by William Penn's sons, Thomas, John, and Richard. They were not squatters but held original title to the land they lived on. Tune in as more of their story is be shared on this broadcast.
On 9/11/1851, Henry Green particpated in an event now known as the Christiana Resistance. He was a member of a group of free blacks vowing to use any means necessary to prevent fleeing slaves recapture. Their mentor was Frederick Douglass, a Freed Slave himself, and their leader another Freed Slave, William Parker. The Underground Railroad path led through the Welsh Mountains going to all points North. Some of the fleeing slaves remained on the Mountain under the protection of Green's Banditti.
Join us as we share the story of the Minqua their descendants, and their lives and tiems!
"It has been called by a great many names, and it will call itself by yet another name; and you and I and all of us had better wait and see what new form this old monster will assume, in what new skin this old snake will come forth." Frederick Douglass 1865
This episode is an interview with Rob Lukens the President of the Chester County Historical Society. The interview covers several generations of our family in Southeastern Pennsylvania and references my book, Black Minqua the Life and Times of Henry Green.

The most controversial figure in adult entertainment presents a no holds barred discussion about the future of the business. Rob's insight is spawned from having grown up around the adult biz, as his father owned several adult bookstores throughout Western New York.
Rob was the owner of Extreme Associates, which was at the time considered an outlaw in the biz because of its edgy content. Such fare is commonplace now.
Rob and his wife Lizzy Borden paid an extreme price for innovating adult, as both spent a year in prison on federal obscenity charges.
Rob also owned XPW - Xtreme Pro Wresting, which was one of the top wrestling organizations in the world, with a weekly national TV show, employing such superstars as Shane Douglas, X-Pac, Sabu and the late Chris Candido. XPW folded in 2003 after Extreme was indicted.

SPONSORED BY MARK PITTMAN--Everywhere you turn, there's a breaking news story depicting a killing of an African-American by a police officer or a racially-charged resident, or an African-American athlete has been disgraced and dissected to a scandal or some inflated criminal offense, or even greater, a high-powered official who has been exposed for something. There are no aids, no solutions, no therapeutic or financial assistance or justice offered to the victims of these transgressions, yet there are massive marketable products emerging to produce capital for those who inflict the mess. Slavery movies, TV interviews and biographical books for the killers, reality TV shows, music videos and exhibitions bank on exposing the destrcution of Black America for cash that is not funneled back into the communities destroyed, but to keep them further down. How do we draw the line? Join in tonight at 10:30 pm EST by calling 347-327-9967.

This according to The Grio.com, is this true? Let's look at the state of Black Women. The saying was, "Kill the men and Save the women," but not in this new age, its kill the woman too? Why? We have the bootylicious songs and glorious, rich-looking videos and the world appears to love the Nicky Minja's and Beyonce's of America. Did we get it right or wrong with Ray Rice and his wife?
So what's really going on?

State of the Black Parent with Shaunes Richardson is in Kickoff plans for NYC for 2015! Subscribe to the Youtube Channel" SOTBP Conference
We will speak on how the Internet Slowdown will affect those economically challenged in the Alkebulan/ #blackbusiness community, the Foster Parent (beige) who left his (african descent) foster child in a car to get high & smoke something and maybe other current events will come up by that time, maybe.
"When a human being lives a life in which he or she enjoys freedom, justice and equality, awareness arises and one can focus on selfless giving - you qualify to be a parent because you are capable of the unconditional love that a parent has for a child.
But it is extremely difficult for Black people to get on and remain on this level, because we do not have freedom, justice and equality. We must give too much energy to the survival issues, which pull us down. This is why we cannot ignore our condition. Our freedom - or lack of - directly affects our ability to experience love and happiness in our community." Truth has come to you~
