The Shakurs: A Lasting Legacy of Black Radicalism, Black Panthers

    in Politics

The Shakurs: A Lasting Legacy of Black Radicalism, Black Panthers

With the death of Afeni Shakur yesterday, mother of the late rapper activist Tupac Amaru Shakur, we discuss the legacy of the Shakur family. Afeni's sister, Assata Shakur, still remains in exile in Cuba as she had escaped from prison after she was set up by the US government as a black panther. The question remains, was there a conspiracy to take out Tupac? Was the US government involved? What is the legacy of the Black Panthers today? Have they influenced the Black Lives Matter movement? We will also talk a bit how the revolutionary Bobby Seale in the late 60s started The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, direct legacy of Malcolm X, which was destroyed by the government with COINTELPRO, similar tactics were used to dismantle the Occupy movement as Al Suarez has exposed in one of his books. The host of Vanguard Youth Radio will do a 35 minute program on this matter will be open to callers. This episode will be co-hosted by Al Caines. Al Suarez & Al Caines will both be open to callers questions/comments. Some of Tupac's, a man named after a Peruvian revolutionary Tupac Amaru, music will be played, including an old school song.

The Donald Trump Shuffle. Will Black America show up to vote in November?

    in Politics Progressive

Will Black people turn out to defeat Trump? Why is he polling better than Mitt Romney among African American?American politics is all in shambles. It seems that Black people have turned on traditional allies in American politics. No one can say they speak for the masses anymore. This I predicted when Black America was won over by Obama in 2008, against the advice of established Black leaders. Will the same thing happen again in 2016?Tonight I am looking for opinions from the Black community on where their heart is in this Presidential race,or is their heart into this at all? Also racist attack that beautiful princess Malia Obama for just announcing that she is taking time off before going to Harvard. It is so clear the level of hatred that caused Trevon Martin's death and White America's indiffernce to Black pain. But this is America, and apparently this is what we want.Tonight a fire and brimestone sermon from the Kalagenesis in the Age of TRUMP.

  • Valid Conspiracies vs Black People Being Spooky

    in Politics

On this episode of Field Afrikan Radio we will be discussing conspiracies that have been and are floating around the "Black community". We will briefly speak on the conspiracy and give our take on whether or not Black people have a legitimate reason to be skeptical or are we just simply being spooky. We will discuss Prince's death and whether or not we believe he was murdered and for what reason if he was. We will discuss the events surrounding Tupac's murder and why we believe he was killed along with other Black artist who met an early demise. Was it the "Illuminati"? Were they sacrifices? Do we believe in the Illuminati? Are rappers like Kanye West and singers like Beyonce' and Rihanna a part of the "Illuminati"? Do symbols and numbers/dates dictate death amongst celebrities? We will also discuss Afrika Bambaataa and KRS-One and how they tie into the conspiracy theme. Join us.

  • What is "Acting Black/Acting White"

    in Current Events

For some time now I have wondered what is "acting black" or "acting white". A lot of times I have heard black people say oh you're acting white or you're trying to talk white or I have heard people say all that person is trying to act black, but in the grand scheme of things what does it all mean? And is there a definition to a color, race or state of being?
