Michael Urbano I am 34 years old and went misdiagnosed with Torticollis. A.K.A. Cervical Dystonia. Which is a neurological issue that keeps your head stuck in either a left, right, up, or down position. Fighting it is nearly impossible. You become a prisoner of your very own body. The next step neurologists told me is Deep Brain Stimulation. Brain surgery procedure to fix the neurological issue, tremors, spams, etc... January of 2014 I discovered that I have Lyme Disease. Which is causing my neurological mumble jumble. My issue with Lyme Disease is doctors can get in trouble for treating it.
Cheryl Savage lives in Portland Oregon and is a mother of twins. After years of battling back against multiple medical issues, it was discovered that she is infected with lyme disease and multiple viral/bacterial infections that are passed through tick bites along with the lyme infection. She wishes to expose her nightmare and hopes that in doing so others will be able to get the help they need.
Three years ago Becca Moore was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. Alone and scared she reached out to find other parents going through the same thing. Sadly there were not any resources for parents. That is when she started The Bipolar Parenting Project. Raising funds to turn the Project into a non-profit organization that can help parents on a national level.

Bipolar disorder is a chronic illness with recurring episodes of mania and depression that can last from one day to months. This mental illness causes unusual and dramatic shifts in mood, energy and the ability to think clearly. Cycles of high (manic) and low (depressive) moods may follow an irregular pattern that differs from the typical ups and downs experienced by most people. The symptoms of bipolar disorder can have a negative impact on a person’s life. Damaged relationships or a decline in job or school performance are potential effects, but positive outcomes are possible.
Two main features characterize people who live with bipolar disorder: intensity and oscillation (ups and downs). People living with bipolar disorder often experience two intense emotional states. These two states are known as mania and depression. A manic state can be identified by feelings of extreme irritability and/or euphoria, along with several other symptoms during the same week such as agitation, surges of energy, reduced need for sleep, talkativeness, pleasure-seeking and increased risk taking behavior. On the other side, when an individual experiences symptoms of depression they feel extremely sad, hopeless and loss of energy. Not everyone’s symptoms are the same and the severity of mania and depression can vary.
More than 10 million Americans have bipolar disorder. Because of its irregular patterns, bipolar disorder is often hard to diagnose. Although the illness can occur at any point in life, more than one-half of all cases begin between ages 15-25. Bipolar disorder affects men and women equally.
Today's I share my own life's journey from losing a brother to the disease of bipolar to facing what might be my greatest achievement. If you wonder how you can claim to be spiritual or Christian or to trust any force greater than yourself and take medication for bipolar disorder or any number of other conditions, you probably don't talk about. This is the place to find out we all feel the same way. It is shameful and weak to need medication, right?
Hear both sides of the story and decide for yourself. Beth Maree tackles the issues by relaying her personal struggles. Bring your comments and questions to the show Tues Noon
