John Carver Show - Dr. C. M. Ward - Only Believe & Symptoms of Salvation

    in Self Help

For 25 years, from 1953 to 1978, Dr. Ward was host of Revivaltime, the flagship weekly radio broadcast of the Assemblies of God. During its heydayRevivaltime was heard on hundreds of stations via the ABC radio network, and the program received from 12,000 to 15,000 letters each month from listeners around the world, including notes of appreciation from such well-known individuals as President Lyndon Johnson and Queen Juliana of Holland.

Thousands of listeners across the earth considered C.M. Ward their pastor, and many in the radio industry of the 1950s placed Revivaltime second in popularity only to Hour of Decision, the weekly radio program of the young evangelist Billy Graham.

In this show I just read the words of Dr. Ward.  I cannot match his style of teaching and preaching.

    Jennifer Raygoza and Matt Manochio

    in Books

"Strangers passing through. Friends seeing each other with new eyes. The hesitant touch of new lovers. A first glance. A first word. A first touch. A first kiss. Take a journey through thirteen erotic shorts, poems and art to relive that first-time feeling. Naughty Bedtime Stories: First Taste will stir the butterflies, curl the toes and send hearts racing. After all, nothing tastes as good as naughty feels". Jennifer Raygoza's story in the Anthology is “Tackle Me”.

Matt Manochio is a writer and editor who worked for 12 years as an award-winning newspaper reporter in New Jersey, where he lives with his
wife and son. He loves AC/DC and has twice written about them for USA Today. He is a supporting member of the Horror Writers Association. Matt’s favorite books include Salem’s Lot, Jurassic Park, The Hobbit, and Animal Farm. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in history/journalism. The Dark Servant is his first book.

"The Dark Servant" Synopsis: Unsuspecting kids vanish as a blizzard crushes New Jersey. All that remains are signs of destruction—and bloody hoof prints stomped in snow. Seventeen-year-old Billy Schweitzer awakes December 5 feeling depressed. Already feuding with his police chief father and golden boy older brother, Billy's devastated when his dream girl rejects him. When an unrelenting creature infiltrates his town, imperiling his family and friends, Billy must overcome his own demons to understand why his supposedly innocent high school peers have been snatched, and how to rescue them from a famous saint's ruthless companion (Krampus) - that cannot be stopped.

CM Radio - Dec 17, 2014 - Street Pharmacy, Trevor Guthrie

    in Music

This week's show is our last regular episode of 2014, as Christmas Eve will be our "Best of Canadian Musician Radio 2014" edition, followed by our New Year's Eve "What's Hot for 2015" edition. Closing out 2014, we've got both Street Pharmacy and Trevor Guthrie on the program.

Ryan Guay, the mind behind Street Pharmacy, is set to drop his next full-length, Pharmanomics, in early January 2015. The album takes influence from the worlds of reggae, rock, ska, and early hip hop and features collaborations with a cool list of producers, including ex-illScarlett members Johnny Doherty and Will Marr, Gavin Brown (Billy Talent, Metric), and Adam Tune (Keys N Krates).

As for Trevor Guthrie, after first coming into the industry with soulDecision in the mid-'90s, the well-known songwriter and performer has seen his solo career take off since 2013, after he was featured on Armin van Buuren's track "This Is What It Feels Like" and Markus Schulz's "Until It's Gone." Mike catches up with Trevor about his current projects and what's in store for the new year.

Ricky made his debut at 7 years old, where he began playing drums in church along side with his mother who was a great pianist, organist, and choir director, which lead himalso to play with Billy Preston for concerts in church.

Ricky’s Music Career began at the age of seventeen where he went on tour playing drums and keyboards for the pop singing group (The Sylvers). This thrilling experience ranged from Concert Halls, State Fairgrounds, to Stadiums filled with screaming fans that every aspiring musician dreams of… This connection with the group prompted extensive collaborations with Leon Sylvers for several Albums he was producing, at that time was asked to play keyboards for Solar Recording group (Dynasty), and this is where songwriting and producing records began.
