Known for a Daytime Emmy Award-winning performance in Take This Lollipop and a ratings-winning role on CBS-TV's Criminal Minds, Bill Oberst Jr. is an American actor of German descent. His gentleness and his interest in things spiritual in real life are sharply at odds with his on-screen persona.

Movie Monday with the King of Indie Horror; Bill Oberst Jr.

    in Entertainment

Today on the Brian The Hammer Show:

-Bill Oberst Jr., is a veteran of over 100 film and television projects and joins Brian from Hollywood to talk about his latest project; "Children of Sorrow". Bill recently won the Best Actor Award at Shockfest for his role as cult leader Simon Leach in a surprise win over better-known nominees Tom Sizemore and Joe Esteves, brother of Actor Martin Sheen. Simon Leach is a very sick man. Thriving on despair, pain and panic he unites a group of broken and desperate teens and showers them with the love and affection they're so desperate for. But Simon has a much darker plan for his followers. "Belongingness" can be a terrifying subject.

To prepare himself for the role of Simon Leach Bill lived in complete isolation throughout the filming. No phones, no internet and Bill did not speak to anyone except in front of the camera and even hid himself away during breaks in the Directors office. Bill says this was an extremely personal role for him for many reasons and was the hardest role he's ever played.

-Lee Feldman will be dropping by today and Brian will be making a call to the Governer of Florida to help Lee with a flooding problem she incurred and is getting less than satisfactory help with.
