Formed in the mountains of northern Afghanistan, The Gillis Silo evolved from the friendship of classically trained piano player Ben Vige and life-long Singer/Songwriter Caleb Paul who met in the United States Army and served overseas together in Kabul from 2012-2013. Ben and Caleb called upon accomplished and experienced Baton Rouge musicians Jordan Snyder, Jared Daigle, and Karl Boudreaux upon their return home to carefully construct their alternative rock infused country sound.
Since the band's first performance in January 2014, The Gillis Silo has made waves throughout the U.S. with their own brand of music that fans have dubbed "Country on the Rocks". They have had the privilege of sharing the stage with Florida Georgia Line, Eli Young Band, Trace Adkins, Aaron Lewis, Jana Kramer, and Chris Young, and they have an upcoming concert with Easton Corbin in August.
Their single, She's My Hurricane, is in rotation in major radio markets throughout the South and their debut music video was recently picked up by CMT.
In July 2014, The Gillis Silo performed at Country Explosion in Tooele, Utah. They have played iconic venues throughout the South including The Varsity Theatre, The Howlin' Wolf, The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint, Hard Rock Cafe, and the House of Blues.
Their much anticipated debut EP is set for release late summer 2014.
The Gillis Silo proudly endorses and is sponsored by Pearl Drums, Spector Basses, Warmoth Guitars, and Soxfords.
Can the HOR make up their minds please? Do we have an Immigration Bill or not? I, unlike members of our government don't seem to understand that we already have a LAW. If you illegaly cross our boders, you go back home! But, that would be just too easy to simply follow the law. If Congress does pass something tonight it will only be gas.

Are you really living life or are you just paying bill until you die? Most people are doing the latter, they can not see through the thick cloud of debt, doubt, and contractual obligation that has them running in circles. Goals, dreams, and visions are tossed to the side as people work tirelessly just to provide shelter and food for themselves and family. Is this how life was designed to be? Is there a way to circumvent this way of life to really find purpose?Showing people how to live without money is one of the most powerful things you can teach people. There is a movement that is providing people with free food, clothing, and shelter. There is a way out of the monotony of the rat race. THERE IS A BETTER WAY, next 2RAW4TV we talk about how to become who you are truly meant to be and how to break free from the ties that bound us.

Brighton Beach Avenue, the main street of community of Brighton Beach was a sea of people, young and old, weaving in and out of the hundreds of stories featuring various Jewish and Russian delicacies. A medley of Russian and Jewish music filtered out of the Russian coffeehouses that lined the streets which nurtured the aroma of hot bagels and knishes. It was 1933. The depression years were waning and the war was yet to come.
Sara Koza was an attractive 18-year-old with compelling deep brown eyes. Born of Russian immigrants in Harlem, her mother had died when she was 8-year-old of TB. Her father, Jack was forced to put her and her brother who was two years younger into an orphanage until he could establish a home for them. Jack met Frieda, a young nurse from Russia and they were married. Sara's father was a gifted musician and joined the Goldman band as the lead trumpeter. Sara and her brother, Sam, were taken out of the orphanage and reunited with their father and new stepmother. The Koza's, due to the father's talent flourished during the depression years and Sara had a new sister and brother to concern herself with as the oldest child. As she walked the streets of Brighton to the subway in 1933 she felt a sense of excitement which reflected in the blush that crossed her cheek and her buoyant stride.
