Chalk Talk...Sports and Beyond...More Than Just a Game!

    in Sports

    Get Your Game Face On!

Chalk Talk is a weekly live interactive sports talk show. It's not your ordinary show. Here you'll get a unique, yet informative perspective on all things sports and a wide variety of guests. I go beyond the highlights and scores to give you the stories behind the stories.

Filmmaker Deborah Riley-Draper joins me to talk about her upcoming documentary: Olympic Pride - American Prejudice. It takes a look at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. Most of us know the story of Jesse Owens, but there were 17 other Black athletes competing in those games. This film tells the untold story of the other 17.

The NFL Scouting Combine is over, so who were the most impressive athletes? Were there any surprises good or bad? We'll talk about on Chalk Talk. What about the NBA? We'll take a look at who did or didn't get traded. All of this and more on next week's show.

Looking forward to seeing you online! It's a fun hour of sports you don't want to miss.

However, if you can't join us live, save the link and check out the podcast later in the day.

what are these canon laws about ?

12 §1. Universal laws bind everywhere all those for whom they were issued.

§2. All who are actually present in a certain territory, however, are exempted from universal laws which are not in force in that territory.

§3. Laws established for a particular territory bind those for whom they were issued as well as those who have a domicile or quasi-domicile there and who at the same time are actually residing there, without prejudice to the prescript of ⇒ can. 13.

50 Shades of... ISIS, Islam, & Homophobia

    in Politics

While Joe is busy setting up for CPAC 2015 (starts tomorrow!), you can catch up on the replay from Feb 19th here (when we had technical difficulties broadcasting).

    Thanks for tuning in!

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?

There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.

Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.

But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!

If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!

It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!

Why Playing The Victim Is Counterproductive To Progress?

    in Entertainment

There are many people that love to play the victim. They blame everyone else for their problems, failures and shortcomings. When your in a state of a victim you can't move on in your life to do something worthwhile. There are those in the black community that feel racism and white supremacy cripple us. Even though it exist there is no excuse to play the victim. Many former slaves and those that went through Jim Crow south rose above it to make their mark in history. No matter what we are responsible for ourselves at the end of the day. Will you focus on progress or wanting someone to feel sorry for you? The choice is yours.
