We thought since there isn't a new #Castle episode this week, right after any new Stana news we would share our Sundance Film Festival experience from a "newbie" perspective with all of you. Of course, the reason for our attending the Festival this year was specifically to see Stana's performance as "Lenora" in Michael Polish' new film about American novelist and poet Jack Kerouac entitled 'Big Sur'. But if you ever intend to attend, this might be a fun way to find out a few facts in planning your own Sundance experience.
'Big Sur' will be shown 4 times during the 2013 Sundance Film Festival January 23-26 ~ Park City: Wednesday 9:45 PM Eccles Theatre,Thursday 8:30 AM The Mark Theatre ~ Ogden: Friday 9:30 Egyptian Theatre ~ Salt Lake City: Saturday 9:30 PM Rose Wagner Theatre. While we will NOT spoil anything for anyone about 'Big Sur', please feel free to call/Skype in and ask us some general questions you may have about this film and our festival experience as you may want to attend future festivals.

M’Hogany is a singer, songwriter, arranger, and former US Soldier. As a child, she was teased for her dark skin complexion. Her mother soothed her by telling her she was not black, she was mahogany—thus the namesake was born. Between the ages of 8 and 12, she began reciting original poems, but never wrote anything down. She was approached to have her poetry published, but her mother declined the offer. Two weeks prior to her grandmother’s death, M’Hogany had a vision to dedicate her completed novel to her. In the wake of her passing, she decided to incorporate her grandmother’s legacy into her writing. Her grandmother was not only the first lady of her church, but she was the head musician. “I had to continue on this journey my granny knew I started. I was named after her because I looked like her, so I feel I have to let her legacy live through me,” M'Hogany said. M’Hogany has also contributed to the Literary Lounge magazine created by Tracie Holmes. “I write the stories that life sings,” M'Hogany said.

IBM toxic pool defies cleanup
TOM WILBER, Special to the Press & Sun-Bulletin 1:37 p.m. EDT April 5, 2015
A remedy for a concentrated pool of solvents directly under the manufacturing site where at least 1,500 people still work may take years to find.

The contaminated hot spot lies under an area the size of eight village blocks.
Situated over and near the source area, and blocking access to cleanup, are dozens of buildings.
To date, nearly 70,000 gallons of solvent %u2014 more than 40 tons %u2014 have been pumped from the ground.
ENDICOTT – After 35 years, IBM Corp. contractors have stanched the flow of industrial solvents into a commercial and residential district in the heart of the village, but they have yet to find a solution for the source of the problem at the company's former flagship manufacturing plant.
Officials recently reported that efforts to intercept and remove the subterranean flow of hazardous chemicals coming from the industrial complex — now owned by Huron Real Estate Associates — have been successful. Consequently, health risks to a nearby neighborhood have been eliminated.
Yet they have no remedy for a concentrated pool of solvents directly under the manufacturing site, where at least 1,500 people still work. Full story: http://www.pressconnects.com/story/news/local/2015/04/05/ibm-tce-issues/25302109/
