Narada Michael Walden grew up as Michael in Kalamazoo, Michigan in a house filled with music always playing. He would beat along on pie tins and table tops, and at five years old when he received his first Toyland drum kit, that set his musical path. Fast forward to 19 when he was discovered by John McLaughlin who introduced him to his guru, giving him the name 'Narada' which means supreme musician. That set his spiritual path.
Producing pop music was just an extension of Narada's listening to what was hot coming up in Michigan, from 'Motown to Johnny Mathis and everything in-between.' He tells Robin how 12 year-old Stacy Lattisaw was his first big break as a producer; putting her and him on the map with Let Me Be Your Angel. He recalls, 'And then my phone started ringing from Clive Davis and you name it. Will you produce this person and this one? And I said yes to everybody. I blew up!'
Narada treats Robin to stories about some of the incredibly talented artists he's worked with over the years including Elton John, Sting and his Rainforest productions, Lionel Richie, Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston; to name a few. He also talks about his new album Evolution and says the songs were inspired by the changes in him since fatherhood.

Are the GOP leadership and big time supporters getting scared? Are they starting to believe Donald Trump could actually win the 2016 Presidential Election? They better believe.
Join me "In the Pickle Barrel" to share your thoughts on these and other topics.
Polly grew up with six siblings in Mobile, Alabama, but was only 8 years old when her father died of lung cancer. Soon two neighborhood boys began to molest her, friends of her older twin brothers. A couple of years later she was assaulted by another neighbor and later by her older brother. She was able to break away from the abuse at the age of twelve, but was by then deep in the darkness of isolation. Polly is now a mother and grandmother, and has lived in Atlanta for the past 15 years and has become a devoted advocate for adult survivors of Child Sexual Abuse.
She began her organization, This One Step, to help older survivors of Child Sexual Abuse deal with the trauma of being part of what she has named, "The Unknown Generation" A generation of survivors who had nowhere to go for support. In her late teens she began writing as a coping mechanism to deal with the PTSD. Her three books, "Cider Blocks and Oven Racks", "Billy Wayne's Christmas Train" and "The Unknown Generation" will be available in early 2016. She has written many southern short stories which have been published in different publications. She is now hosting her own blogtalk radio show Monday through Friday beginning at 6:00am.
Let's go to the high places. I want to tell you about the secret of the hinds' feet. The hind is a female red deer whose home is the mountains. The rear feet of the hind step in precisely the same spot where the front feet have just been. Every motion of the hind is followed through with single-focused consistency, making it the most sure-footed of all mountain animals.
Now listen to how the Lord compares our spiritual walk with the hind...
The Lord God is my strength, and he has made my feet like hinds' feet, and makes me walk on my high places." (Habakkuk 3:19 and also found in Psalm 18:33)
Do you know that the Lord has some high places for you? Places where the air is pure, the view pristine, distractions are far below, and there are paths just big enough for the two of you. It's true that the climb up to the high places is a bit more challenging than a level foot path in the valley. But not if you've got those hinds' feet; the hinds' feet equip you for the roughest terrain.
Can't you just smell that mountain air? What are you waiting for?
Wow! It's hard to believe that we've been on the air for one year! Spaced Out Radio was created to give the "experiencer" a place to listen and learn from the best guests in the business. Throughout the year, we have had a chance to talk with many individuals who are professionals in their fields, come on the air and tell us incredible stories from the Paranormal, Supernatural, Cryptozoological, Extraterrestrial, UFOlogical and so much more.
After Dave Scott broadcasted seven days a week for the first six weeks of the program, James Tyson was added to create Spaced Out Weekend. James, a career RCMP Officer, and a paranormal investigator, brought a real sense of professionalism and charisma to the weekends with his expertise in ghost investigations. Behind the scenes, James works tirelessly to bring in his creativity to the program with top notch guests and topics.
Dave Scott, host of the flagship Spaced Out Radio, has brought his experience as a journalist to the forefront in asking tough questions and bringing on the biggest names to explain why so many people are experiencing these stories right out of their imagination.
All of this couldn't have happened if it wasn't for Jonny Enoch. Jonny's role behind the scenes in helping set up Spaced Out Radio cannot be forgotten. He pushed Dave to get on the air, and to make this show happen. Jonny was a true driving force to making Spaced Out Radio, and his experience, and positivity has brought us to where we are today.
If you're a fan or a former guest, we would love it if you could join us. Call in and tell us about your time with Spaced Out Radio. 1-607-203-5344.
