    Bi-polar Disorder and Neurofeedback testimony.

    in Moms and Family

Tune in as we discuss the facts which Doctors don't want you to know because they want you to depend on drugs and not have a quality of life.

Neurofeedback is an increasingly promising alternative treatment for a variety of psychiatric disorders. For readers who are unfamiliar with this type of treatment, neurofeedback is also known as electroencephalogram (EEG) biofeedback therapy. It uses sensors on the scalp to measure EEG frequencies, offering real-time feedback (through video or sound) that rewards frequencies associated with relaxed attention, and suppresses frequencies associated with under- or over-arousal. The goal of this training is to develop skills for self-regulation of brain activity.
Medications for bipolar disorder are very problematic due to their side effects, compliance rates, and the consequences of taking them over a long period. They can cause a variety of troublesome or even dangerous side effects, including:

    Liver toxicity
    Weight gain
    Rashes
    Fatigue
    Sexual side effects
    Feeling “flat and robotic”

Selected by his fellow mental health professionals as ‘”One of the 100 Most Influential Writers on Emotional Health in the Twentieth Century,” John Bradshaw explains why the honeymoon must end and what you can do about it. “Being in love is not love,” explains John Bradshaw.

IN POST ROMANTIC STRESS DISORDER relationship and personal growth expert John Bradshaw, offers positive, concrete and creative ways for finding more meaningful love, intimacy, friendship and fulfillment in our relationships. John Bradshaw offers you a realistic understanding of why many self-help books and a large amount of marital therapy have neither stemmed the rising divorce rate nor brought a solution to the terror of aloneness that keeps many couples bound in boring and non-fulfilling relationships.

Much new research including findings in anthropology, evolutionary psychology, and neuroscience has necessitated that we look at marriage and long-term relationships in a new way, adopting expectations that are more realistic about our relationships. One conclusion of several recent studies suggests that one or more of the major issues in most marriages will seldom be fully resolved.

Living with Bi Polar disorder with author Rachel Pappas!

    in Self Help

"Hopping Roller Coasters" tells the story of author Rachel Pappas who was an in-your face mother, but loved her daughter more than life. "Mom doesn’t play around when the neighborhood bully’s taunting got way out of hand. She stood up to hard-nosed teachers who didn’t get that you don’t punish a child who’s flailing; Marina needed help. And she sat in the front row, clapping till her palms hurt when her half-Greek, half-Jewish daughter took the podium at her predominantly African American school—glowing in her cap, gown, and greased cornrows." No one was going to hurt Marina. No one. Except Rachel herself, diagnosed with bipolar disorder, a condition her daughter would struggle with too. This is the story of a mother and daughter’s journey, a two-decade-long roller coaster ride. Actually you’re hopping from one roller coaster to the next through this openly told story of unexpected turns and pure love. A story that’s both intense and quite funny at times as Rachel takes you on the journey of Marina's psychiatric hospitalizations, cutting and overdosing, while Rachel deals with her own demons and the diagnosis of cancer. This openly, honestly told story finally comes full circle leaving us with lessons on redefining success, mortality, loving, forgiving and being forgiven.
