The show supports peaceful consentual voluntary relationships.Where the people are not extorted, robbed, oppressed, controlled and abused under the threat of force by the government and in many cases actual force is used to force compliance.

Governments and it's rulers have no place in the world. I am an individual and I believe in freedom and liberty for all people, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation as all human beings have a right to freedom and liberty. I will stand up to government oppression and do what I can to educate the public on the illusion and or lack of true freedom in America.

Addiction: The Causes and The Solutions

    in Health

On this episode, we'll be talking to Dr. Chas Gant about the causes and solutions to addiction. Here are his initial thoughts to get us started...

"Over the years, various approaches to solving addictions have been tried with marginal success.

Historically, addiction was first thought to be a moral problem to be addressed by law enforcement. In the early 20th century, a psychological/psychoanalytic model was adopted, based on the poorly substantiated belief that addicts and alcoholics were simply medicating their emotional wounds.

Alcoholics Anonymous then emerged and achieved a modicum of success by promoting the 12-step philosophy, which bypasses immorality or psychological rationales as the cause, focusing instead on spirituality.

The psychopharmacological approach came next. It was based on the assumption that addiction is caused by a or Prozac deficiency in the brain.  Substantial education and prevention efforts have also been made for decades.

For the most part, addictions are currently handled by some combination of these models, but with marginal success.

How can we do better? All of these approaches have made contributions, but none of them fully addresses the critical brain/body connection, so let’s explore the little known scientific facts about addiction.

The good news is, we now have the tools to break this hopeless cycle." Dr. Chas

She is the Founder and President of Victorious Life Ministries. The ministry was birthed out of her pain and a desire to undergird others who face the turmoil and devastation that life can bring. Voices of South Africa with Don

    in Politics Conservative

They say by middle age you should have settled down and have gone around the block a few times, repeating the same year every year. For me it has been more a case of getting up on the block and falling off it or finding another one again and again and thus having 30 different years over the past 3 decades. This has given me a unique insight.

Born in Benoni near Johannesburg back in the 60’s my mother, a single parent with 3 boys, was hard at work finding a replacement father, while we were fed by family, friends and church. We brought ourselves up playing in the fields, streets and dams of the greater residential area, something you could do quite safely then. Although Afrikaans, we were sent to English school which was walking distance as there was no money for bus fare to the Afrikaans school. In those days of Eurocentricity it was considered a wise thing by some.

I discovered what steak was at age 14 when my Mother remarried, and saw TV for the first time as television was introduced into SA despite Apartheid’s best efforts. We moved to the Cape and after high school, I had to do my compulsory military service as there was no money for further studies.  University was not free in Apartheid SA and cost the price of a house then.

Like most of us, the two years in the army was bittersweet. You’re glad you had the experience but would have preferred not to even though you knew it was good for you. I spent three quarters of it up on the border (South West Africa and Angola), driving tanker trucks with aviation fuel and diesel to wherever the helicopters and tanks needed them.

Back in civvy street the only choice was to get a job to pay rent and buy food. There was no safety net or grants in Apartheid SA. By age 23 I was awarded a Singer Franchise which was shortlived as the local monopoly supermarket chain decided to enter that market too and I became another small business destroyed by big business.

'The Matt Duffin Show' - HIPPA This: Dr. 'B' & Me

    in Social Networking

HIPPA laws. The good, the bad, the nosey.  After all, medical professionals involved in your health can read the files - and they go home, talk with their spouse, their friends about their work.  Its normal. However HIPPA's intent is to protect privacy.  Yet, my intent is to share medical and heath issuses intow with a Traumatic Brain Injury.  Uh, got's me some experience and education in the TBI field. Enough for paid work?  No. Enough to teach? Occasionally, yes.

Enough to understand that to share the issue, you have to be on stage, removing all privacy in order to communicate understandably with BI folk.  They and 'what ever the issue of the moment is' can be enlightened with 'knowing trustfully' the messenger understands, cares, wants for better than today.  That's me.  Tri-host Sam Way feels the same, but he'll talk about toys, er, games.  Melissa Meeps?  Dunno, have learned NOT to try to understand what women are thinking; just flow.

Of this mental mess if not health shattering past two-months I've led (62 Days, but WHO's counting!), we've made it (so far).  Is there ligtht at the end of the tunnel?  Dunno, wasn't envolved with the constrution of the tunnel.  But, Doctor Samantha Backhaus has been HEAVILY involved with the reconstruction of Matt Duffin.  So be nosey!  Compare. This Rosebud Trooper from The Village me up with Doc "B" on Thursday.  My third appointment is the past month.  Lot's going on.  Lot's.  As a Neuropsycologist locally in Indianapolis, creator of BICS, PEER Mentoring (her style), Couples Care and more, Dr. Sammie's work is very Internationallly known.  But we're keeping her.  Trust me - ya got to go thru Milton first to steal her away from her Hoosier horde of Survivors.

White Genocide in South Africa: On the Front Lines of Aid

    in Politics Conservative

The sad reality of South Africa today is that many minority (Whites are the minority in S. Africa) families cannot even feed themselves, children don't have winter coats, food is scarce and healthcare nearly non-existent.  Many of these families don't even have a place to call home.  Additionally, there are many thousands of whites living inside and outside of 'squatter camps', lacking even the most basic necessities of life. With recent employment law changes in South Africa, Whites are almost completely excluded from the current job market and there is no government assistance there, like there is here in the United States, to assist those in this position. The post-apartheid system is discriminatory towards Whites they are suffering greatly as a result.

Valiant efforts are underway to curtail these horrors, both from individuals as well as from a scant few organizations, and during the show this Sunday at 7pmCST, we will welcome two guests that will shed light on these efforts and WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP.

Debbie, a private individual living in South Africa and Leigh from the South Africa Family Relief Project (SAFRP) both work FEVERISHLY to collect and distribute monetary and physical goods and donations that they use to provide housing, food, clothing, basic necessities and mental health services to these White minority crime victims and their families living in extreme poverty in South Africa. They work selflessly to ease the pain and bridge the gaps for the increasingly discriminated against White population suffering unspeakable horrors in post-apartheid South Africa.

Join myself, James Royster, the Host and Voice of American White History Month Radio Talk Show, along with our guests, this Sunday evening, January 25th at 7pmCST.  As always, this is a CALL IN SHOW so callers can dial (347) 637-3768 to call into the show to ask quesitons and/or discuss this heart-wrenching topic with our guests.
