A few weeks ago when Beth Bond joined us, we got so carried away with our other topics that we ran out of time for cosmetics.
So, join us today for a LIVE bonus show simply looking at COSMETICS (and personal care products).

One of the product ranges that we talked about was Truly Inspired! - which is the range that I created and hand-make to order. There is a wealth of information about it here www.TrulyInspired.com.au and it is available online at EcoHealthSolutions.com.au/store
The book that I refer to is The Chemical Maze by Bob Statham (ISBN 095785354-8) which is also available as an app.
Beth Bond, the Curator of Green and Sustainable Business News at Southeast Green. As a Southerner, Bond was tired of hearing about everything "green" happening outside her native region which is what drove her to create the website.
Owning her own marketing company for over 15 years and working with green companies, Beth knew the story of sustainability and green resided here in the Southeast. There was just no one place to tell the cohesive story of all the things that are happening in the Southeast. Since relaunching Southeast Green in September 2008, Bond has been establishing even broader liaisons and partners to help continue the story of green and sustainability.
Bond serves on a variety of boards and committees in the Atlanta sustainable community. They include Steering Committee for Earth Hour 08 and 09, Co-Chairing Earth Hour in 2010 for the City of Atlanta along with sustainable business leader Derek Jacoby of the Jacoby Group, Decatur Green Fest 09-10, Let's Raise a Million Power Partner, DeKalb County Green Commission and was selected as Champion of the Week in the Champion Newspaper in November 2009. In 2011 she joined the board at Georgia Interfaith Power and Light. In December of 2011 the Georgia Solar Energy Association awarded Beth with a Solar Advocate of the Year award.
Join host Beth Bond of Southeast Green as she discusses energy efficiency with one of the leading researchers on this topic, Suzanne Shelton.
Suzanne is the voice and the vision of Shelton Group. Drawing on her extensive experience in energy and the environment – plus her 25 years in the marketing and advertising industry – Suzanne provides high-level strategic insights for our clients and speaks to audiences around the country about pressing issues related to marketing energy efficiency and sustainability.
Suzanne founded Shelton Group as a one-woman copywriting agency in 1991 and turned it into a nationally recognized marketing communications firm, electing in 2001 to focus exclusively on energy, energy efficiency and sustainability. In addition to maintaining her busy speaking and consulting schedule, Suzanne has served as a guest columnist for publications such as Fast Company, Green Builder and GreenBiz.com. Her insights about the consumer mindset on sustainability, the future of utilities and the changing energy landscape have been quoted in Forbes, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post and other top media outlets.
On episode 314 of Business Insanity Talk Radio, my first guest, Susan Solovic, is going to look into her crystal ball and tell us the worries and opportunities for small business in 2015. Next, most small biz owners do not spend the time and money to put together a systematic marketing plan. Well, that stops today. Did you know that only 24% of Americans volunteer every year? My next guest has the solution to increasing that number. Dating is difficult for busy professionals, but learn how my final guest makes it a whole lot easier.
Susan Solovic is an award-winning entrepreneur and Internet pioneer. She is a sought-after keynote speaker, New York Times bestseller, media personality and popular blogger. www.smallbizexpertacademy.com

Henson apologizes for her son's exaggerated account of racial profiling; more on the Swiss Alps plane crash and how its appears to have been intentional; what's up with Oprah? The "man" (or is that just male) with 34 children by 17 women and Evelyn Lozado are getting OWN TV shows (huh); how did 60 Minutes cover Africa by only interviewing Whites? We have a special in depth show this week where we take a close look at the role of seizure alert service dogs.
Magnolia Paws for Compassion highlights the remarkable impact service dogs can have on people living with a variety of medical conditions, but most specifically, those who suffer from epilepsy.
To raise awareness of the widespread benefits of animal assistance, Magnolia Paws for Compassion has enlisted the help of Brandon McMillan, celebrity animal behaviorist and host of the Emmy-nominated television series Lucky Dog. Brandon has teamed up with Eisai, the Epilepsy Foundation and 4 Paws for Ability, a non-profit organization focused on the training and placement of service dogs for children.
Next we will speak with Karen Shirk, 4 Paws for Ability CEO, who trains and places seizure alert service dogs, and then Tom Penders, father of Becky, whoes family received a seizure assistance dog through Magnolia Paws for Compassion.
It is a fascinating and heart warming story to learn how these dogs are helping children and their families better cope and save lives. You will hear first hand accounts of how these dogs are trained and the everlasting bond they have with their new family.
We are starting the Show with Julie Hall Karlock, the administrator for the Facebook group, Dog Euphoria and the winner of the Dog Euphoria Fashion Week contest, Trish Aleve.

Floyd Dent “I’m lucky to be living. I think they was trying to kill me, especially when they had choked me. I mean, I was on my last breath. I kept telling the officer, ‘Please, I can’t breathe,’” Dent said. Dent was not armed, but was driving on a suspended license. Police said they found a bag of crack cocaine under the passenger’s seat, but Dent said it was planted.Dent, who retired from Ford Motor Co. after 37 years, has no criminal record. Dent said a blood test revealed he didn’t have any drugs in his system. “I don’t have to sell drugs. I don’t sell drugs,” Dent said.
Darrell Gardner's Horsemanship was founded upon four principles:
Showing Your Horse Love By expressing love to your horse it helps to build a good relationship and strong bond. This will lead to a better response from your horse. Gaining Respect If you don't have respect on the ground, you won't have it on the saddle. Respect is an essential part of horsemanship and it begins with good ground manners Teaching Obedience Obedience comes with consistent training. This teaches your horse what you expect and how to quickly respond to the cues given. Loyalty between the horse and trainer It all begins with gaining trust. Your initial approach is extremely important.
