"The highly acclaimed school standards called Common Core are becoming so unpopular that they may soon be politically untouchable." So writes Phyllis Schlafly, founder of the Eagle Forum.
"The critics are piling on, from Glenn Beck to the Wall Street Journal, with senior academics and activist parents in between. The latest is a detailed criticism of the mathematics standards by a prize-winning math professor at the University of California at Berkeley, Marina Ratner at the Eagle Forum."
Tonight Phyllis Schlafly joins us with more on Common Core and why it is so detrimental to our children, and our nation's future.

A bit of a change of pace tonight considering the many interested in UFOs, if some Goddesses might have been ETs, and the seeming new secularized religious mythology of "ancient aliens....Ted Peters, investigator of UFOs for 40 years, who previously served as the Louisiana State Director of MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network is currently Emeritus Professor of Systematic Theology & Ethics at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. He co-edits the journal Theology & Science at the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences. We'll discuss if Christianity is threatened by the idea of ETs and where that might fit into that ideology, if he believs Earth may face a crisis if UFOs reveal themselves, if he thinks traditional religions are due to mistaken interpretations of visitations by ancient astronauts - and perhaps, most important, why he as a Christian theologian and religion scholar, interested in UFOs.
“I started teaching hatha yoga and meditation
in 1971 after returning from an intensive 3 month training at Gitananda Ashram in Pondicherry, South India.
I taught classes in the few early yoga studios located in the New York City area, Berkeley, Amsterdam and Prague before yoga becameYOGA!
I have studied with and attended Bryan Kest’s classes since 2002. I basically teach Bryan’s techniques combined with insight garnered from the intensive 10 dayVipassana meditation retreats that I have attended.
I teach mixed level classes so there is something for everyone in the class. I do not use heat but I like to keep the windows closed so that the body gets warm and flexible. We do not do headstands or any sort of acrobat pretzelization.
I try to infuse the postures we use with insight (vipassana). Therefore, we meet the posture halfway, then go to meditation which is simple observation based on awareness of breathing.
From this breathing platform we begin to observe bodily sensations, and mental processes. Through the personal insights gained here, we start to release habitual unwholesome reactions to all the stimuli in our daily lives.
Hopefully we leave the class re-energized and with better tools to engender positive change within ourselves and in the world at large.”
