Katharine Herndon was a fan of James River Writers even before they hired her. She has attended all eleven conferences and over fifty Writing
Shows, and she plans to improve on that number in 2014. She has been on the board for several years in a variety of roles, including executive
secretary, co-chair of the 2011 conference committee (with the wonderful Valley Haggard), and membership chair. Prior to becoming employed at JRW, Katharine taught middle school language arts for thirteen years. Her favorite bits were Shakespeare and poetry, and she was in a minority in
this. Katharine’s work has won second place in the Style Magazine fiction contest and been published by local indie press Sink/Swim in The Great

Special Guest: Usama Dakdok
Usama Dakdok was born in Egypt and grew up in a Christian home. While in government schools in Egypt, he learned about Islam just as every other student does in a Muslim country. Usama also studied for a university degree in Egypt which included the study of Sharia, Islamic Law. He came to America in 1992. With all of his knowledge about Islam, he felt he could reach out to Muslim people in America with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus he began The Straight Way of Grace Ministry.
It's a battle of Conservative values and principles in defense of our Republic!

California may not have a legalization initiative on November’s ballot, but there will be several mmj initiatives including a flourishing one in La Mesa. Endorsed by the San Diego County Democratic Central Committee, this initiative has a very good chance of passage which will make La Mesa one of a handful of cities with voter approved dispensaries.
Cyra Velazquez from Safe Access LaMesa is the show’s first guest and will discuss how the initiative came into being, the tepid city council response and how they snared the SD County Democratic Central Committee endorsement.
Our second guest comes from paradise, the Hawaiian Islands - legendary Maui Wowie, the home of the Chum Gang. However it is not mj paradise for marijuana advocates. One of the more high profile activist in Hawaii is Roger Christie who spent 4 ½ years in a federal prison claiming the right to use marijuana as a religious sacrament. Our second guest is Brian Murphy who met last week with Roger at a half-way house where he is currently residing until he is released.
Roger Christie has paid a terrible price for his devotion to marijuana. Brian reports on how Roger is doing, what’s next and what he plans to do once released.
In addition Bryan speaks about his role as an operator of Patients Without Time, a mmj dispensary that was raided and closed. Bryan is facing multiple decades in jail and has been offered a plea deal which he will talk about on the show.
Leaders of La Coordinadora 2014 (The National Coordinating Committee for Fair and Humane Immigration Reform) claim that the Latino electorate is divided due to the Democratic Party's desperate gamble to protect control of the Senate, and pressured Obama’s delay of his promised “executive action on immigrants by the end of summer”.
In a controversial declaration published on September 23, 2014 by the National Institute for Latino Policy, they declare on behalf of La Coordinadora 2014, that:
“Dolores Huerta is only the latest to try and pull Obama's chestnuts out of the fire with her recent quote from a VOXXI.com interview (http://voxxi.com/2014/09/24/latino-leaders-wrong-obama-immigration/ ]http://voxxi.com/2014/09/24/latino-leaders-wrong-obama-immigration/), "We have to look at the big picture and don't get caught up in saying we want it now." "...we are a community that can wait." And, "we have to have faith in our president..." How ironic that she expresses no anger at the 70,000 to 100,000 more deportations Obama's delay will provoke. Multi-millionaire Henry Cisneros, former Secretary of HUD under President Clinton, has repeatedly railed against immigrant advocates for demanding of the president "not one more deportation." Disgraced and separated vice president of the Service Employees International Union, Eliseo Medina, has probably been the most protective of Obama at every turn. And, Cecilia Muñoz, Director of Domestic Policy Council, and Assistant to President Obama, has been the White House's pit-bull in silencing critics of the deportation machine.”

Human rights organizations across the country are protesting the ongoing abuses of power by an increasingly militarized police force, demanding that officers who kill unarmed citizens be charged with homicide. Marches and rallies seem to have little effect, as more citizens come forth whose loved ones have been gunned down by overzealous police. What consequences should police suffer when they kill unarmed citizens? How can these human rights abuses be stopped? What body of authority needs to oversee judges, who continue to issue harsh sentences to individuals who have been tortured into false confessions or ill advised to plead guilty by attorneys with questionable ethics? As the Human Rights and Justice Committee of Missouri creates a National Registry to expose homicidal police officers and unjust judges, more citizens are challenging the police departments who killed their loved ones and received not so much as a reprimand. Many innocent citizens have been railroaded into jail by judges who knowingly sentenced innocent people to prison time. How do we remove people from power who are abusive and corrupt? What consequences should those who violated the public trust ultimately suffer? Our guests Yahkhanahn Ammi and Queen Tahira Sparks discuss strategy for punishing abuses of power and stopping those who violate the human rights of others.

Why is it the Moral Monday Movement needed in Indiana?
What are the issues and who should be involved?
What are the next steps?
Bomb them bomb them and keep bombing them, whoever 'them' are. Shall we play a game? WAR! We suffered a silent coup, while we were comfortable, entertained and distracted; thinking we make choices while the corporatist machine tells us what to consume, for whom to vote, what to believe and whom to fear. An invisible game of political theater lulls us into a soft despotism under the guise of democracy, when in fact we suffer an oligarchy.
Our national government’s policies seem contradictory, incompetent and often dangerous. If we don’t accept their machinations, we comfort ourselves with our precious votes; votes that mean little. In this land of confusion it doesn't mattter whether you pick the blue team or the red team; the end result is the same. After decades of voting the bums out and changing colors, we still have endless war games, monopoly money and a wide array of choices, so long as we choose to stay within the narrow confines of the false left-right paradigm.
A massive paradigm shift is occurring; but, we cannot know what liberty we’ve lost if we prefer the ‘comfort’ of self-inflicted tyranny born of fear, lack of courage and psychological manipulation.
Tyranny is assured UNLESS we band together, restore Constitutional governance, sound money, free markets, religious and civil liberties, The Militia and a sensible foreign policy of non-interventionism; or watch the statists in both parties push their corporatist agenda. Now is the last chance to stop those who perpetuate an empire abroad and a police state at home. To defeat the lawless hordes of Cultural Marxists, collectivists, oligarchs, useful idiots and their fellow travelers especially the Democrats-first you MUST CRUSH the RINOs, for liberty!

Russ Feingold who claimed, on August 5, 2014 at the US-Africa Summit, that there is no
justification that the FDLR solicit political negotiations; the group must be dismantled no
later than the end of the year; and for the FDLR, the military option should not only be
considered but must be ready to be launched.1
2. The statement of Mr. Martin Kobler, Special Representative of the United Nations (UN)
Secretary General in the DRC and head of the UN Mission of the United Nations
