D.D. Marx is the author of “Beyond Believing; An Inspiring Story to Awaken the Heart.
Beyond Believing is a sweet, funny and romantic story that touches the heart, serves up delicious twists and turns, and shows the reader that there’s no such thing as “coincidence.” She regards this book as her “love letter to friendship,” written in memory of her best friend, Dan.
Graduating with a Communication degree from the University of Dayton, she attempted to break into the world of Public Relations but was instead side-tracked with a J.O.B. At the strong encouragement of her friends and family, who dubbed her a “funny story teller”, she stretched her comfort zone by entering the Second City program in Chicago where her itch for entertainment was finally scratched. Determined to share her story and create a legacy, she decided to combine these talents and become a writer. She returned to her alma-mater to immerse herself in a 3-day writing course where this dream finally came to life. Asked to imagine if she was a super-hero, her task was to dig-deep to describe her special powers. Based on the real-life tragedy of one of her best friends, that answer came without hesitation. All she’s ever wanted was the power to visit with him one last time. This is the inspiration that catapulted her into her debut project titled, the Beyond Series. She dove into a world imagining that he never left.
Machiavelli (1513) said that the most difficult thing to do is attempting to get people to change their established systems and beliefs. He was right and we will look at why this is so; you'll probably agree as well.
Resistance to moving forward is a common characteristic in most people; it results in discomfort, even pain. We love comfort and Rick Warren (The Purpose-Driven LIfe) tells us "God's ultimate goal for your life on earth is not comfort, but character development." That even sounds like work...and pain. Is this the way personal growth is, has to be, the only way...the best way? There are countless examples in history of people who simply tell us their stories of personal struggle leading to a level of meaning, purpose, and victory they never experienced before.
Do you wonder why this is so? My invitation to you is to join me in this message entitled "Direction Is About Receiving and Believing." Part of this is my journey but it's also the journey of many others as well. Perhaps this will save you some time in your path to a more contented, fulfilled life. The journey isn't supposed to be hard, my friends; in fact, it's a joyous one; we just don't recognize it most of the time. Today, we will continue looking at the series "Closing The Integrity Gap."

The metaphysics of perceptions - believing is seeing is designed to bring awareness to seekers of the journey to the importance and impact of our perceptions of others. The topic looks beyond the surface to seek the deepest expression of the journey of self discovery.
This episode of Pneumatikos will explore the Servant theme in the biblical documents, and their relevance for believing ones today. Biblical servanthood is not an option for believers. We must be devoted and helpful followers of God. A true servant cannot serve two masters for he will either love one or hate the other. A servant of God must be of singular mind and heart, and know that in the kingdom of God servanthood is the highest honor. Jesus did not serve himself, but others, and he came to give his life as a ransom for many.

So, the players walk in to work after 4 days off and... WHAMMO BAMMO... Everything is moved around! The lockers are now bunched into groups that play together. The D-backs are all together, the O-Line...etc... The Oklahoma drill was the 1st day of "WELCOME TO THE NEW REGIME". Just when you thought that was gonna be it... in comes a new helper on offense (Al Saunders from Oakland) to drive some energy in there..(Dont let his age, *70* fool ya! These young guys wish they had his energy!).and, the new DC (Lou Anarumo formally the DB's coach) is running around the field like a newly caffinated kid.
Does all this translate to "A NEW CULTURE"? Is culture change enough to get us back to being taken seriously? I think I am cautiously optimistic and buying in. Not counting my perverbial chickens before they hatch . I've seen interim coaches in Miami before (Cam Cameron, Tony Sparano, Todd Bowles et al) do well for a bit & then dissapear *POOF*! Ive bought in whole heartedly for "culture change" too (Nick Saban, Joe Philbin) and been burnt there as well. How bout you? Lets talk about it! This and every Thursday we talk Dolphins football and you are invited (516) 453-9433 at 6:30PM est to join in!
