Another Fork in the Road: Panel - Behavioral & Emotional Changes & Brain Injury

    in Education

One of the most difficult aftereffects of brain injury is losing oneself. Depending on the injury and which part of the brain is impacted determines the type of emotional and behavioral change in one’s personality. A person who was agreeable, complacent, reasonable, and calm before the injury may change drastically to one who is violent, depressive, or struggles with anger management. These effects are not easy for others to understand – BUT, have you thought how difficult it must be for the survivor? My panel, M. S. survivor, Lisa Dryer and Brain Injury survivor, GeorgeAnna Bell will join me to discuss this sensitive topic.

Every TBI survivor and caregiver has encountered a fork in the road that has diverted his or her life-plan. A car accident, a fall from the roof, doing one more chin-up, or a door literally slamming one in the face are just some causes of traumatic brain injury. College plans, walking down the aisle in the perfect dress, or the coveted job quickly slip from reality as dreams turn to struggle. These unexpected life-happenings that divert one from his or her chosen path in life can be devastating. But as Yogi Berra once said, "If you come to a fork in the road, take it." Life is all about choices!

    Group Economics

    in Culture

When we look at the "Black" community we always ask ourselves why is it so impoverished? It is said that "black" people have the spending power of $1.3 trillion dollars within this economy. If this is true then why don't we have more businesses within our own communities? When it pertains to "Group Economics," why is this something that seems to be taboo? Why does every other culture seem to practice spending their money with each other? Today we will have special guest "Devon Graham" owner of "Passion into a Paycheck," to help us discuss this topic. How does entreprenuership impact Group Economics? How can we get our people to spend their money with their own? Tune in today as we discuss this topic and offer solutions. #DWD

Behavioral Health Revenue Cycle Management: Triadic LLC

    in Psychology

Meet two technologists, Cindy Day and Heather Griffin, owners of Triadic, LLC – a Behavioral Health specific revenue cycle management company. It became imperative for everythingEHR to find a billing company that understands how electronic health records software works. The Triadic team is responsible for processing over 50 million dollars in claims per month for some of the largest Community Mental Health agencies in the United States.

Join our host, Kristin Sunanta Walker, as she discusses the skill-set and passion required to serve our favorite sector of healthcare: Behavioral Health.

Read the full blog article HERE and visit www.triadicllc.com.

How have you seen technology change in Behavioral Health in terms of what a billing company needs in order to process claims?

What kinds of technology are you familiar with including Behavioral Health EHRs?

What kinds of reports have you created when EHR technology didn't give you or your clients what is needed?

Providers typically want a billing entity to negotiate better rates from private insurance carriers. It takes a lot of work to make this happen. There is no magic strategy and yet many billing agencies tell their providers this is an easy negotiation process. What is Triadic's take on this process?

everythingEHR has, unfortunately, had to refer many of our Behavioral Health clients to new billing entities because they experienced significant losses in revenue and lack of professionalism from their previous billing firm. What are some of the reasons you've seen billing companies quickly go down hill?

What is your experience in behavioral health?
