(5:03) Quick HIts - Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy gets in his hot take on the Detroit Lions losing. Also, Dan Campbell is a head coach now? Really?
(12:23) "So about last night..." - Chris, Ryan, Alex, and Jeremy all join forces this week to push past the pain and anguish of a fumble at the one yard line. There's other juicy angles from Seattle/Lions to discuss: for instance, how good can Calvin Johnson be moving forward? Is he struggling in the offense or is he on the decline?
(23:53) "Can we talk about Arizona?" - An attempt to preview the Arizona Cardinals and what seems to be an improbably awful matchup for the Detroit Lions. Chris really doesn't like the idea of Carson Palmer being good.
(36:18) Questions! - Jeremy talks about Seattle fans, and an interesting question about the future of the Green Bay Packers. Also, how can the Lions run scheme get fixed?
(52:28) Some nonsense - Audio problems forced us to cut a segment where the four watched a video of some drunk dude demanding macaroni and cheese. They talk about drunk food and other casual topics instead.
We will have weekly predictions on NFL action throughout the season. Your input is welcomed and anticipated, as your team will be passionately discussed as well! Not only will we comment on the teams and their ability to win or lose, but topical off the field issues will be covered, in addition to Fantasy Football discussions. Join us weekly, as this is our show, as that’s makes it the “Voice of Fans!’
The Seattle Seahawks better be damn glad that Kam Chancellor decided to end his "hold out". His tremendous effort play at the end of the 4th quarter saved the Seahawks season and their playoff hopes. Megatron must be kicking himself for allowing Kam to strip him of the football just before he scored a game winning TD in Seattle. Now, the Lions are still winless and the Seahawks look to have righted the ship. They face Cincinatti next week and the possibility of ending up 1-4 after that matchup was definitely a distinct possibility. Yet, Kam Chancellor who held out for virtually all of training camp, made the play that may spur this team back into dynasty mode. However, they must defeat a more than confident Bengals squad that refuses to come up short this year. Will the Bengals ground the Seahawks or will Seattle prove that their earlier issues are behind them. Tune in tonight and every Wednesday evening for fresh perspectives on the NFL and of course the early rumblings in the NBA.
We thought last weekend was setting itself up to be a bore, but this weekend is even more lackluster in terms of Top 25 matchups.
Washington visits No. 17 Southern Cal. Will the Thursday Night Curse Return?
Illinois, somehow 1-0 in the Big Ten, travels to Iowa, who is somehow still undefeated.
No. 3 Baylor, the highest-scoring team in ever, visits Kansas, maybe the worst team in ever.
No. 10 Oklahoma travels to Texas. This should be a good game because of the rivalry. Right?
Maryland heads to No. 1 Ohio State. The Buckeyes have to prove they're the best sometime, right?
Georgia Tech travels to muddy No. 6 Clemson.
LSU travels to South Carolina. Or they don't. Because they're actually playing at LSU. Because rain.
So Northwestern is No. 13, and the Wildcats will be on the road at No. 18 Michigan. I'm not joking.
Wisconsin and Nebraska, possibly the reddest teams in the country, are both unranked. And playing on national television. Because Big Ten. Or something.
There are even more games, too!
But the NFL has games this weekend as well. Dallas hosts the Patriots with a team of what we're assuming are medical redshirts. Seattle heads to Cincy with two losses while the Bengals are 4-0. Huh? Jacksonville heads to Tampa Bay because the NFL hates us.
And lots more!
NFL Week 4 saw some firsts – first win for the Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints. It’s “stay-the-course” for the unbeaten’s: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, and Green Bay Packers. One more loss for the Miami Dolphins meant a new coach, and the Seattle Seahawks won on Monday night against the Detroit Lions in the most Green Bay of ways.
Plus The Frat House Sports guys from The Red Zone Blitz – Frat House Mike & Brandon break-down some of the biggest games: Ravens 23 – Steelers 20 / Colts 16 – Jaguars 13 / Redskins 23 – Eagles 20 / Bengals 36 – Chiefs 21 / Rams 24 – Cardinals 22.
We’re staring at Week 4 being upon us. How’s your team doing? Get in on THE BEST NFL-talk action on the Internet right here and participate with YOUR CALLS at 347 – 826 – 9964!
