Stronger Together Speaks with Johnny Morris and John Baker on Friendship

    in Christianity

Stronger Together with Valarie Miller and Rev. Ray: ACHIEVEMENTS THROUGH FRIENDSHIPS

Baker lettered two years in football at NSU and was an All-CIAA performer in 1963 ... Was selected in the 19th round of the 1964 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, making him the first NSU and CIAA player to be drafted by an NFL team ... Baker was also the first NSU athlete to ever play professionally, with stints with the Montreal Alouettes on the Canadian Football League from 1964-69, with the New York Giants of the NFL from 1970-71, and then for multiple teams in the World Football League thereafter ... Was a 2004 inductee into the NSUAF Sports Hall of Fame.

Morris’ contribution: 127 points. His total shot attempts are lost to history, but Morris made 57 field goals, a bucket about every 30 seconds. He was 13 for 21 from the foul line, shooting underhanded “granny-style,” as required by coach Smith. Morris’ point total still stands as the second-highest nationwide for a high school player. The record, set a year earlier in 1960, is 135. Morris is one of 15 high school boys to score more than 100 in a game, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations. His 57 field goals that night are a national record.Morris holds another record from that night for which he’s not recognized: highest point total in a Virginia high school basketball game.

Brothers, Stop Killing Cops Now !

    in Current Events

Emergency, Emergency, Emergency, Brothers stop killing Police now because # 1 its flat out wrong, and # 2, the media is reporting but also exploiting the racial stereotype of us African Americans Men as violent predators ! I am pretty sure if I followed Crime with a video tape, by populations alone, our " Brothers From Different Mothers " will not be looking like Choir Boys ! Reporting is one thing its business and informal, but to replay images to millions of people every second ? You got to also admitt that you are part of the problem also ? Come on now folks I have a Media company to so I can not call the kettle" Black ",  I am a Capitialist and I Love it, but I am also resposible, for our beloved American brother and sister's !

    Sunday on the Front Stoop

    in Energy

Do you agree that our freedom & democracy is better than living in a country ruled by a dictator?  Would you be happy living in the Middle East, with ALL that oil under the ground, and having your President replaced by a dictator?  For example, decades ago when a democratically-elected leader of Iran was pulled out and replaced by the Shah of Iran, we got a good price on that oil from Iran.  When the Shah of Iran was nearing the end of his life, he didn't stay in his own country as most of our leaders would.  Instead he traveled to America where he soon died of his illness.

As another example, Saudi Arabia is No. 6 on the list of dictatorships in our world.  They get most of their weapons from countries like ours and we get a low price for the oil from under their ground.  Could this be provoking that sad response that we call "terrorism"?  Instead of sending our boys and girls overseas in the military to get that good price on their oil, why not just switch to solar or wind power?  My friend may sound like a comedian but his response was "Big Oil says we'll have SOLAR when they can put a METER on the sun!"  More from them is at www.pausenergy.org

Consider the human renewable energy measure, hrem, and make it equivalent to what every one on earth needs, education, food and shelter.   Don't let the bullys and gangs continue to enslave future generations as they have done for the past 1,000's of years.  By getting off that oil from under their ground, not only could we stop provoking such "terrorism".  This could also put an end to Climate Change on our planet.
