On today's Show I am sharing a small part of Bear Grylls book "Mud, Sweat and Tears."
Here are some quotes from this amazing book:
“Never depend on those luck moments – they are gifts – but instead always build your own back-up plan.”
“You can't become a decent horseman until you fall off and get up again, a good number of times.
There's life in a nutshell.”
“Time and experience have taught me that fame and money very rarely go to the worthy, by the way - hence we shouldn't ever be too impressed by either of those impostors. Value folk for who they are, how they live and what they give - that's a much better benchmark.”
“Many people find it hard to understand what it is about a mountain that draws men and women to risk their lives on her freezing, icy faces - all for a chance at that single, solitary moment on the top. It can be hard to explain. But I also relate to the quote that says, Iif you have to ask, you will never understand.”
“To me, my Christian faith is all about being held, comforted, forgiven, strengthened, and loved--yet somehow that message gets lost on most of us, and we tend only to remember the religious nutters or the God of endless school assemblies. This is no one's fault, it is just life. Our job is to stay open and gentle, so we can hear the knocking on the door of our heart when it comes. The irony is that I never meet anyone who doesn't want to be loved or held or forgiven. Yet I meet a lot of folk who hate religion. And I so sympathize. But so did Jesus. In fact, He didn't just sympathize, He went much further. It seems more like this Jesus came to destroy religion and to bring life.”
“If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere.”
Show discussing news, politics and culture from the perspective of Ayn Rand's philosophy, Objectivism. Hosted by Amy Peikoff.
Today we'll discuss the recent terrorist atrocities as well as the debate over the admission of Syrian refugees that has arisen as a result of these attacks. Also planned is a discussion of the importance of the right to bear arms, particularly today. Go to my blog for program notes about an hour before showtime.
Event: One Million Strong, to Save the Florida Black Bears!
February 10, 2016 - February 11, 2016
One Million voices, to be heard by the FWC Board of commisioners all at the same time! To be the voice of our Black bears. United. As one we will stand before them, and let them know that we do out number those that want to kill more Bears. That as one voice, we say no to the slaughter. With one voice we say, education is the key to addressing this issue, not blood shed, and killing. That with One voice, One million strong, we stand up for the Bears, and we speak for them. We will be protesting the planned 2016 Bear Hunt. During the Feb 10 and 11, 2016 Board Meeting of the FWC Commisioners.
They can not ignore one million of us. Please make your arrangements for hotel space, food and transportation needs while in Tallahassee. As we get closer to the date, we will share more information about the protest, and all the details required. Let us commit to standing strong, standing firm, and saying in one unified voice, No you may not kill any more of the Florida Black Bears!

I spent the weekend at the annual WWP Conference and have a few thoughts on the experience plus there are a few other subjects and stories I need to comment on.
I was unable to do a show this past week as my new work schedule is taking some time to get used to but I want to do do this one while the conference is fresh in my mind.
I've got some great clips picked out - some old and some new to The Pinko the Bear Show... so that's fun:)
Please share this link with all your friends and enemies alike... and with all the citizens and victims of the empire:)
Please note - the Pinko the Bear Show, much like The Authroity Smashing Hour, with whom I share this channel, is a Big Foot and Alex Jones Free program.
"Revolution never comes with a warning. Revolution never sends you an omen."
TONIGHT WE WILL DISCUSS A SUBJECT WHICH HAS SPARKED GREAT CONTROVERSY IN FLORIDA IN RECENT WEEKS. THIS PAST SATURDAY MARKED THE OPENING DAY OF THE FIRST LEGAL BEAR HUNT IN FLORIDA IN 21 YEARS AND THE HUNT SPARKED STRONG VIEWS ON BOTH SIDES AS HUNTING USUALLY DOES WITH RUMORS FLYING ABOUT ALL WEEKEND. WITH A LIMIT OF 315 BEAR WHICH COULD BE TAKEN OVER A ONE WEEK PERIOD, THE HUNT WAS ENDED LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON WHEN A TOTAL OF 295 ANIMALS HAD BEEN CHECKED IN AT HUNTING STATIONS.
THE FLORIDA WILDLIFE COMMISSION (FWC) MANAGED THE HUNT AND DECIDED TO HALT IT SUNDAY SINCE PARTICIPANTS HAD UNTIL NOON THE NEXT DAY TO BRING ANIMALS IN. THEY THOUGHT THE LIMIT WAS LIKELY TO BE EXCEEDED BASED UPON PROJECTIONS, BUT ON MONDAY THE FINAL TOTAL WAS 298. NOW THE "AFTER THE HUNT" ANALYSIS, BOTH PRO AND CON WILL CONTINUE AS THE FWC PLANS ANOTHER HUNT NEXT YEAR.
ESTIMATES PRIOR TO THE HUNT WERE THAT BETWEEN 3300-3500 NATIVE BLACK BEAR WERE ACTIVE IN FLORIDA. IN THE PAST YEAR 5 ATTACKS ON HUMANS BY THE BEAR HAVE BEEN NOTED AND 2 SERIOUS CAR WRECKS ON FLORIDA ROADS INVOLVED BLACK BEAR. WHILE THIS CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUPPORT FOR THE HUNT, I SUSPECT THAT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DESIRES PROBABLY WERE MORE OF A JUSTIFICATION. THE POINT IS THAT YOU CAN'T BLAME THE HUNTERS AND YOU CAN'T BLAME THE BEARS BUT YOU CAN LOOK VERY CAREFULLY AT THE USE OF LAND FOR THE WRONG REASONS IN MANY PLACES.
TONIGHT'S NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE AT 9:30 TONIGHT WILL DISCUSS THIS AND THE PROS AND CONS OF THE HUNT. IF YOU LOVE OR HATE HUNTING, THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE SHOW TONIGHT FOR EVERYONE. I'LL TRY TO ADDRESS THIS TOPIC FROM THE STANDPOINT OF GOD'S GRANTING DOMINION TO MAN FOR ALL LIVING THINGS AND WHAT THAT MEANS IN THIS INSTANCE.
