The NNIA presents Recovery Radio Fresno with Louis Angel. This week’s guest are Jaime Pompa and Jim Snyder with Never Again Fellowship. There are many men and women coming out of our prisons every day and there is seemingly no one there for them. The purpose and goal of Never Again Fellowship is that none of those former prisoners recidivate and have to return behind the grey walls and the razor wire. We know their success highly depends on a close walk and relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jaime wrote "I am an entrepreneur and an aspiring business owner, graphic designer, photographer, husband and father of 4. I am always willing to help others when the opportunity arises. I was born in Fresno but raised in Los Angeles. Raised in an unstable home and with the absence of my father. The many issues that came along with that caused me to make bad decisions and it led me toward a lifestyle with a criminal mentality. Down that path were many life changing experiences that are all full of regret. This led to being behind bars and while incarcerated I made a decision to change my life. With the help of God. I decided to make a better future for myself and my family. I have chosen a better lifestyle and am the co-founder of Never Again Fellowship." Jim wrote “My parents did not have a lot of money. At age ten I inherited a paper route from one of my older brothers. I spent my adolescence working part-time cleaning the office and doing odd jobs for a company that made cemetery memorials and concrete burial vaults. My senior year in high school I took a stone cutting apprenticeship. I also developed a drinking problem. They will be talking about the mission of helping those who are going to be coming home from long prisons stays.
I hope you tune in, this is a wonderful program to hear about.

As simple as it may seem, thoughts about love are highly misunderstood, handled, or expressed. Love is felt before defined, withheld when it should be expressed, and explained when its better demonstrated. Why do we get the idea of love so wrong?
Successfullly understanding love and ministering through its system begins with an knowledge of God and having a picture of who is He truly. Without it we go through life with a marred picture of love and we settle, flounder, or may even find ourselves codependent on and in relationships.
On our journey thought the halls of love, listen as we discuss God's love system.

Family involvement in the care of persons with psychiatric illness is important for recovery-oriented comprehensive mental health services; however, family involvement too infrequently occurs at levels that are beneficial to both the client and his/her family. The women of SISTAH CHAT, hosted by Aixa Reina, will be joined by guests Bonnie Goyzeta M.S., Jenny Harper, M.A., Stephanie Jamison M.S.W. to address several dimensions of fostering family involvement in the process of accessing and utilizing meaningful mental-health services. An intervention framework for family involvement enables consumers, family members, providers, and administrators to navigate and cultivate family service choices in a family-friendly agency. Keeping families actively engaged in services can be challenging. Even if families are initially motivated to seek mental health services, a myriad of Xperiences can interfere with the treatment process leading both patient and family to disengage or drop out prematurely. Identifying positive and empowering ways we can help family members impacted by mental health issues is the goal of this dialogue.

When life deals its deck, the hand isn't always what we expected. Sometimes joys and heartache come packaged. Life is tough enough, but with a brain injury, our ability to process is often challenged. When residuals include fatigue, both mentally and physically, or when emotions run in extremes, and all the rest we're haunted by...We need our tools of recovery, support, and faith most of all.
Tonight is open mic and great Indy music, but I hope you'll call in and share your solutions, or what you've found to be cautions, in dealing with life as it's rolled out. Do you think your brain injury impacts your coping skills more, than with someone who has never had such an injury? Call and share your truth.
Regarding Faith...The Easter Bunny or the practice of gratitude...Or both. What is Easter to you? We'd like to wish those it applies to, a peaceful, reflective, and joyful day from the hosts of Brain Injury Radio.

After a lot of frustration, prayers, tears, and a near death experience she decided to surrender and let Spirit guide her, this is when she started creating drums that wake up the soul, balance and connect you with Earth Mothers rhythms in nature, her heartbeat, and song.
