Show Topic: The 3rd Trimester. You've put in the work. Or at least we sincerely hope you've put in the work. It's now time to put that work to real world, real life testing. "Mama" (who's Mama in this metaphor?) is getting tired of carrying you, she'ready for you to step out on your own. Put the tools to work. Test them out. See if there is any fine tuning needed. Here you go.......
Show Segments: Happy Recap, Show Topic, Recovery Support Time.
Step One: "We admitted "WE" were powerless over alcohol (addiction) - that our lives had become unmanagable." Who cares to admit complete defeat? Admission of powerlessness is the first step in liberation. Relation of humility to sobriety. Mental obession plus physical allergy, and spiritual malady. Why must every A.A. hit bottom? We know that little good can come to any alcoholic who joins A.A. unless he has first accepted his alcoholism (addiction) and all its consequences. Until he so humbles himself, his sobriety - if any - will be null and void. Of real happiness he will find none at all. Proved beyond doubt by an immense experience, this is one of the facts of A.A. life. The principle that we shall find no enduring strength until we first admit complete defeat is the main taproot from which our whole Society has sprung and flowered. It is a statistical fact that alcoholics/addicts almost never recover on their own resources, and this has been true ever since man has been crushing grapes.
Few people will sincerely try to practice the A.A. program unless they have hit bottom. For practicing A.A.'s remaining eleven Steps means the adoption of attitudes and actions that almost no alcoholic who is still drinking can dream of taking. Who wishes to be rigorously honest and tolerant? Who wants to confess his faults to another and make restitution for harm done? Who cares anything about a Higher Power/God let alone meditation and prayer? Who wants to sacrifice time and energy in trying to carry A.A.'s message to the next sufferer? No, the average alcoholic, self-centered in the extreme, doesn't care for this prospect - unless he has to do these things in order to stay alive himself. Join me and my special guest Monty Meyer aka the Monty'man from Take12radio.com this Fri nite Mar 27th at 9pm CT as we discuss dfferent versions of how people see the steps worked, then the proper way to work the steps

Andy Gagliano the man behind I AM Turkey hunting.com and the Turkey Hunter Podcast is with us tonight to discuss the topic among other things. He is a great resource and is host to a great podcast that your faithful host enjoys listening to.
On his homepage Andy proclaims: “I make no apologies for this affliction I have. You won’t see me stand up at a meeting and proclaim, “Hi, my name is Andy, and I’m a turkey hunter!” in an effort to take on the 1st of a 12 step program that most addicts do when they begin on the road to recovery. Quite honestly, I don’t want to cure my turkey hunting addiction. I like it… alot!”

Awake 2 Oneness Radio with Guest Author Rev. Anne Puryear, co- founder of The Logos Center with her husband Herb, Friday March 27th, 2015 at 7:00 pm EST. The 3rd show is the series "Suicide from a Perspective".
Anne is the author of the book "Stephen Lives!". This is the book she wrote after her 15 year old son committed suicide. I was listening to the audio book of Conversations with God book 3 and heard Neale Donald Walsch mention this book when he was talking about suicide. I contacted Anne and I am so honored to have her as a guest on my show.
Anne and her husband Herb are the founders of The Logos Center in Scottsdale, AZ, and she is the author of Messages from God.
The name, Logos, is taken from the book of John, where the Greek word "Logos" is translated as "The Word," which is understood to refer to the COSMIC CHRIST. Their practical Christian mysticism is based upon the respect and enjoyment of the world's rich spiritual traditions which all bear witness that God is the One Force at work in the universe. "Every human being has been made in His "image" and we are destined to conform to His "image" as we Awaken to our oneness with Him".
Today The Nikki Rich Show talks with Sherryy Lee Meredit About SHERRY LEE MEREDITH:
Sherry Lee Meredith is a mother, successful business woman, and an ambassador for curvy women across the world. She hosts the talk show she created, Go Curvy, which has quickly become the go-to resource for curvy women. She brings her love for life, fashion, fun and real stories to her viewers on Go Curvy every Thursday.
Born and raised in Canada, Sherry Lee moved to Southern California several years ago and launched a successful chain of salons in the beauty industry. In 2011, when Sherry Lee was at the pinnacle of her career, she suffered a stroke which left her paralyzed on half her body. Through rehabilitation, tears, and a lot of willpower, Sherry was able to make a full recovery. This experience left her with the time to think about what was truly important in life. It was a moment for her to pause, reflect, and consider how she could use her story to inspire others. Through her own challenges, she was rejuvenated to spread a message of positivity that starts with feeling confident about yourself from the inside out. She decided Go Curvy would be the perfect platform to share that message with the world.
Prior to her work on Go Curvy, her business success included starting an insurance company, and investing in a manufacturing company. She also created the groundbreaking “sunless” tanning product - Unique Excellence.
Sherry Lee was first introduced to TV viewers with her segment “Help Me Sherry Lee” on a local cable show in Orange County. She also created, produced, and starred in the show "Takeover Makeover," during which she chose to help women who had endured traumatic and heart wrenching life experiences. These ladies were indulged with a whirlwind celebrity glamour session and given the VIP treatment with lots of encouragement, love, and healing from Sherry Lee to start anew.
Despite being tested by a terrifying diagnosis, Helo Matzelle clung to faith
Helo Matzelle thought her relationship with God was as good as it could get. As a busy stay-at-home mom and devoted wife, she would have described her life as beautiful. Then, one Friday afternoon in 2011, her life changed. In her new book, Halo Found Hope: A Memoir shares how her life went from planning ahead for the weekend to relearning basic skills after being diagnosed with a rare brain tumor.
Matzelle says when she looks back, she should have paid more attention to the physical symptoms: the strange voices in her head, like she was remembering movie lines. The metallic taste in her mouth. The ringing in her ears. But those symptoms were easily chalked up to the stress of life or the effects of spending too much time in a building with freshly painted walls. However, what started as a routine MRI for her ear revealed Matzelle’s symptoms signaled a more serious problem. “After hearing the terrifying news that I had a golf ball-sized tumor on my brain,
Matzelle details how her recovery from surgery was only supposed to entail six days in the hospital, but things took a turn for the worse in the operating room. Matzelle’s brain tumor was one in two million: Because of the way it was structured, the removal caused intense brain swelling, and several hours later, she became unresponsive. A portion of all author proceeds from Helo Found Hope will go to the National Brain Tumor Society,
