In his latest book, Browne — who currently serves as the Daily News editorial page editor — presents a biography of New York City’s first African-American police officer. Based on an unfinished manuscript by Langston Hughes and Browne’s own research, “One Righteous Man” tells the story of Samuel Battle’s groundbreaking rise through the ranks of the NYPD, a decades-long odyssey that is both the story of one man’s unwavering dedication to racial progress and a harbinger of the divisions between police and the communities they serve that plague America today.
History records how conquerors from various periods of time have relocated a conquered nation or peoples. From the children of Israel in biblical times to Native Americans here in the U. S., we have examples of relocation. Most of us would agree that in times of war, the adage, "to the victor goes the spoils" would ring true. So the loser therefore is forced to bow to the dictates and edicts of said conqueror. If the conqueror wishes to relocate, then they must. But in the battles, there is a test of strength and wits, each side going aware of the consequences of failure.
However, in the battle of the womb, the dynamics are much different. It is the will of the mother against the dependence of the child. A child who cannot speak, whose voice cannot be heard. A child dependent completely on said mother for existence. There is no relocation plan. It becomes a question of "Whose Womb is it Anyway?"

Everyone has experienced heartbreak. We all have that one person we will never be able to stop thinking about no matter how hard we try. But...what if you could? That is the question that set writer/director Kryzz Gautier on the journey of creating this universe. Could technology get to the point of being able to erase heartbreak from the world?
Join us as we speak to writer/director Kryzz Gautier about this film that asks the question: What is the real price when we choose to have our memories altered or changed?

The neglect she experienced is a large part of the reason she's lived most of her life in full leg braces .. from being thrown out a second story window when she was 4 yrs old. She says, "From the abuse I died 3 times. Heaven is wonderful, but God wasn't ready for me. The second trip took me 4 years to recover from. I have anoxia, brain damage due to lack of oxygen. That effects my memory. I got to the point of realizing I couldn't recover relearn everything." But Laurie's resilient, if nothing else. "I was with the Guardians Of the Children for 4 years, until they shut our chapter down. Crushed, but that didn't stop me from spreading awareness of child abuse through my story." She goes on, "I am passionate about this cause," adding, "In my photos on Facebook you will find picture after picture of the extent I go to for the kids." In addition there are 4 or 5 videos on her timeline. "If you watch one, or all of them, you will find out who I am," she points out. "I'm a warrior who will fight this battle to the end for the kids of today. My message: You can survive...and those of us who did owe it to our kids to save them from what we went through."
