The magical story of no interceptions is over and now the media can focus on the Green Bay Packers defense. Although St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley rushed for 159 yards, Nick Foles threw four interceptions and the Packers won 24-10. The Packers defense now ranks third in points allowed per game, only allowing 16.2. Foles was sacked three times, but was under constant pressure and ended the day 11 of 30 for 141 yards. By winning the line early, the Rams fed the ball to Gurley to slow down the pass rush. Subtract the 55 yard galevant, the Packers held Gurley to 3.6 yards per carry. Rookie Quinten Rollins intercepted Foles, in the first quarter, and returned it 45 yards to give the Packers a 14-0 lead. Two interceptions inside the red zone helped secure the victory.
Aaron Rodgers had a ball tipped and intercpeted by James Lauranitis to end his streak at 587 passes without an interception at home. Rodgers ended the day with modest numbers 19 of 30 for 241 yards. The big play was a 65 yard touchdown pass to James Jones. Initially Jones was ruled down at the one yard line but Mike McCarthy challenged the pay. The ruling on the field was overturned and Jones was credited with his fifth touchdown of the year. Eddie Lacey found little running room against the Rams. His long run of the day was eight yards, and he finished with 27 rushing yards. Rodgers led the team in rushing with 39 yards.
The Rams fall to 2-3 and will enjoy a bye week before hosting the Cleveland Browns. Green Bay improved to 5-0 and will host the San Diego Chargers next week.
Today on the isportsMSU Red Cedar Report, Ryan McCumber joins the show with Tyler Hayward to help wrap up the game against Rutgers and discuss a new week's worth of injury. Is it time for Josh Butler or Tyson Smith to finally have their redshirts burned? Plus, what does the activation of Delton Williams mean? We talk about all of that and more!

On this day in 1792, the cornerstone was laid for a presidential residence in the newly designated capital city of Washington. Work began on the neoclassical White House building at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue under the guidance of Irish American architect James Hoban. President George Washington chose the site.
In 1800, President John Adams became the first president to reside in the executive mansion, which soon became known as the “White House” because its white-gray Virginia freestone contrasted strikingly with the red brick of nearby buildings.
In 1814, during the War of 1812, British soldiers set the White House on fire along with the U.S. Capitol in retaliation for the burning of government buildings in Canada by U.S. troops. The burned-out building was subsequently rebuilt and enlarged under the direction of James Hoban, who added east and west terraces to the main building, along with a semicircular south portico and a colonnaded north portico. The smoke-stained stone walls were painted white.
The White House is the oldest federal building in the nation’s capital.

We're back with another episode of WIIM Radio now that the season has started. We have me, Jeff, Graham, and Joe talking Red Wings hockey and Michelle dropping the prospects report for us. Here's a rundown of how things played out:
Dylan Larkin! - Jeff didn't want to wait to talk about the wunderkid so we led off espousing what makes the guy so special to the Wings and why we're all sporting massive Dylan Larkin banners.
Setting the Roster - Hopefully the second-to-last time we ever have to speak objectively about Dan Clearys use to the Red Wings on ice, we go over what it means for him to have been waived and refuse assignment, as well as some other rosterbatory discussion.
The Wings started off 2-0! - Breaking down the Toronto and Carolina games, we try to make excuses for why winning hockey games in which you get badly outshot isn't a portent of doom in early October and also congratulate some people on doing a good job.
Prospects Report - The Griffins started off 0-2 in California, but Michelle gives us a really good rundown on why that's not a bad thing, as well as player-by-player evals for the BAM line. Then she goes on to discuss how our non-AHL prospects are doing, including some really promising stuff about the future of Detroit's blue line.
Reader Questions - Did you ask a good question? We probably answered it! We were almost certainly polite about that too!
As always, WIIM Radio is rated R. Sailors don't think it's a big deal and they seem like pretty cool people.
