"When a human being lives a life in which he or she enjoys freedom, justice and equality, awareness arises and one can focus on selfless giving - you qualify to be a parent because you are capable of the unconditional love that a parent has for a child.
But it is extremely difficult for Black people to get on and remain on this level, because we do not have freedom, justice and equality. We must give too much energy to the survival issues, which pull us down. This is why we cannot ignore our condition. Our freedom - or lack of - directly affects our ability to experience love and happiness in our community." Truth has come to you~

- Sen. Mary Landrieu's last-ditch effort to pass a bill approving the Keystone XL Pipeline fell one vote short of the 60 needed following an all-day debate Tuesday that touched both on the merits of the pipeline and Louisiana's Dec. 6 Senate election.
The final vote was 59-41.
Some viewed the vote as a last-ditch chance for Democrat Landrieu to close a gap with the favorite to win the run off -- Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge. And Republicans were quick to say the defeat showed that Landrieu clout falls far short of what she's been telling voters.NOL

Join us Tonight at 7PM EST as we continue our series: Parenting the inner Child in You.
Your role as a child has great significance on your role as an adult. In trying to be an adult, historically, you are encouraged to dismiss any emotions, feelings, mindsets and behaviors associated with your childhood. You hear in one sense, "Kids will be Kids...let them enjoy their childhood". Then you hear, " It is time to GROW-UP...stop acting so childish". "Oftentimes, in doing so, we overlook having been a child; discount our childhood; omit it in our consideration of ourselves and others".(Pg 13 Your Inner Child Of The Past) WHEN does the child pass off the Baton to the adult and say " Okay, I'm done. It's your turn??? What happened to the child you once were? Did he or she die? Was he or she lost somewhere in time.... abandoned or forgotten???

On November 9, 2014 the Body of Christ suffered a devastating blow as the news that our General of Purpose, Brother in Christ and Spiritual Mentor Dr. Myles Munroe along with his precious wife Ruth and seven other devoted family members and friends left their temporary dwelling to be forever with The Lord. For many of us, the news was surreal and our hearts stood still for a moment as if somehow, our ears and eyes were testing us. The reality that a man who's life was dedicated no, "mandated" to fulfill his purpose in helping others to discover theirs, had completed his assignment and had passed the baton to those of us who were to follow.
We will be celebrating the life of Dr. Munroe on this special tribute broadcast. Join us and call in @ (914) 803-4491 and press (1) to comment or join in the live chat. Visit our website and view the "Celebrating the Life of Dr. Myles Munroe" page created for Dr. Munroe. Feel free to invite others and share. You are welcome!
L.A. Lewis, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is the author of Dirty Little Secrets and Dirty Little Secrets II: Expect the Unexpected. She’s a member of an author support group called M-LAS (Macro Literary All-Stars). Together the group published two books: Baring it All: The Ins and Outs of Publishing, a nonfiction book most authors wished they had before they took a bite of the publishing apple. They’ve also published a romance anthology, Signed, Sealed, Delivered…I’m Yours. These are nine stories that are a little bit naughty and a little bit nice, but every bit of enjoyable.
She’s currently working on her 3rd novel Wife Swap and expanding her romance from the M-LAS anthology, which is currently under consideration from a major publishing house. L.A. Lewis recently took on a new venture and became a publishing consultant. This way she’s able to help guide other authors into seeing their dreams of being published become a reality. L.A. Lewis is also a motivational speaker where she speaks from her inspirational book, Why Not Me? A Guide to Your Success. Visit www.lalewisexpressions.com to learn more about L.A. Lewis and her upcoming novels and events.
