"When a human being lives a life in which he or she enjoys freedom, justice and equality, awareness arises and one can focus on selfless giving - you qualify to be a parent because you are capable of the unconditional love that a parent has for a child.
But it is extremely difficult for Black people to get on and remain on this level, because we do not have freedom, justice and equality. We must give too much energy to the survival issues, which pull us down. This is why we cannot ignore our condition. Our freedom - or lack of - directly affects our ability to experience love and happiness in our community." Truth has come to you~

Tyris Lee (aka T. Lee) is more than just your typical up and coming rapper from the south. His Swagger and Artistry defines him as the next best thing. Born and Raised in the city of New Orleans where everyday life is about "The Hustle" helped him develop an ambitious nature. Raised in a single parent home in the Lower Ninth Ward (where crime was daily activity) helped develop the goal of breaking that poverty chain so that he would be able to present better opportunities for himself, as well as family and friends.
T.Lee is a hardworking artist who's music comes straight from the heart and life experiences that are sure to attract audience of all kinds. In 2012 T.Lee made headlines with the song titled "I'm The Shit" that was produced and written By T.Lee the song also gained a spot on the movie "Blood Out" which starred actors Luke Gross, Val Kilmer, and 50 Cent. In 2013 T.Lee also had another song "If I Don't Do Nothing" that has approved to be in a movie that has not yet been titled and was also contacted by Kittens Strip Club owner in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for rights to use his song "Take Another Shot" in a commercial. This historical jewel sits between New Orleans and Baton Rouge and contains a treasure trove of history within its walls. We were pleased to spend a day with the planation's colorful owner, entrepreneur Kevin Kelly and learn what he is doing to preserve Houmas House as a living history and decorative arts showcase.
Then, the greatest act of slave resistance in American history took place in 1811 just outside of New Orleans and has remained largely untold, until now. Author Daniel Rasmussen joins us to discuss his book, American Uprising: The Untold Story of America's Largest Slave Revolt, and shed new light on the great American paradox--slavery.
Finally, native New Orleanian and travel writer Laura Martone is the author of the Moon Travel Guide to New Orleans and she stops by to offer an insider's guide to the best that New Orleans has to offer.

RED HEAVEN (formerly Dragonfly) as performed by Joel Eilde in Second Life
Red Heaven is a Canadian band which plays original, full-band rock music. Weaving post-grunge metal with Turkish, Indian and African motifs, layers of vocal harmonies and dirty, gritty guitar-driven rhythms, critics call Red Heaven (formerly Dragonfly) *purely, ethereally beautiful* and *refreshing* with a *killer voice.* Red Heaven never bores, never stalls, never draws from the same well twice. Red Heaven's second album, Moth, is coming out in a few weeks. You can contribute to the indiegogo campaign!
