Hear about a parent's experience with Common Core that was not supposed to happen. The book by Toni Morrison, The Bluest Eye was banned from Alabama High Schools yet another book by same author of the same mold (written ) is being taught. The Common Core Standards Initiative has been warned by Early Childhood Development Experts and Mental Health Experts as harmful, developmentally inappropriate and by one as "Cognitive Abuse". Alabama has a chance to repeal it.

Yesterday I heard that the Boy Scouts of America has now banned scouts from shooting each other with water guns and says if you play with a water balloon that it is to be inflated no larger than a ping pong ball. First I thought this was from the onion but now I see that it is factual and being reported by many people.

1. SHOWER MORE FREQUENTLY: During the Summer months the body perspires more which could give off a foul odor if you tend to sweat profusely! Try to fit in an additional shower between meetings to avoid embarrassment. If you work a long day and cannot get to a shower…
2. BE SURE TO CARRY A WASH CLOTH AND SOAP and Baby wipes, or Feminine wipes in your purse and use some of your break time to wash yourself in the ladies room and…
3. CHANGE YOUR UNDER GARMENTS and panty liners! Even if you’re NOT on your period, panty liners will keep your feminine area clean and your panties fresh.
4. AVOID HEAVY PERFUMES: Do not, I REPEAT, DO NOT wear the same fragrances for Summer that you wore all Fall and Winter! Choose a lighter scent. Heavy perfumes on a sweaty body will only intensify an ALREADY bad smell…and NEVER EVER EVER SPRAY PERFUME ON A DIRTY BODY!
5. WATCH YOUR DIET!!! Remember, what goes in SHOWS OUT!!!! If you choose to eat greasy fried foods, and starchy salty foods, you will actually begin to LOOK GREASY!!! You will feel weighted down and HOT, your cholesterol levels will intensify with souring temperatures, and you’ll just feel and look YUCKY!!! Choose organic fruits, veggies, oats, and grains! Stay hydrated with water!

Does food make some people feel better? Does it substitute for other deficiencies in people's lives?
Recently I put out a question on Facebook dealing with this situation: I just heard a conversation between two women in the fitness room and one of them was saying that she gained a lot of weight because she didn't have a man for a long time.
Huh? Loneliness = weight gain?
Can someone explain this logic to me?
One of the things that many responders eluded to was that the woman in this example probably compensated her loneliness with food. Is this true? Can that work? Are there many people who resort to this?
Can eating unhealthy foods make a person feel better emotionally? If so, why does it have to be the unhealthy foods that do the trick? When does it stop? Is it a woman thing? Do men go through this as well? If men go through the same thing then is it for the same reasons?
Will men or women change their lifestyle when or if they get what they have been missing?
We'll get into these things and more and we'll also talk about turning all of this around and how eating nutritional foods can also cause emotional problems.
