Billy Moore, A Prayer Before Dawn, soon to be a Hollywood Movie

    in Self Help

Fighting for your life and your sanity, eating rotten fish, sleeping next to a dead body, and being able to survive it all, and recover

Billy Moore and his book "A Prayer Before Dawn", which is soon to be a Hollywood movie. A Prayer Before Dawn is the true story of one man’s fight to survive inside Klong Prem Prison, the notorious Bangkok Hilton. Billy Moore travelled to Thailand to escape a life of drug addiction and alcoholism. He managed to overcome his inner demons for a time but relapsed after trying ya ba – a highly addictive form of methamphetamine.

Moore’s life quickly descended into chaos, drug dealing and violence until he was eventually arrested and imprisoned in Klong Prem, a place where life has no value. A Prayer Before Dawn is no ordinary prison memoir; it’s the story of one man’s struggle to survive in one of the world’s toughest prisons. It’s also a story of redemption in the most unlikely of places.

Radio Enso #133- Daniel Noll and Audrey Scott from Uncornered Market return!

    in Lifestyle

Join me Monday, July 7th at 6 p.m. Pacific/9 Eastern on Radio Enso when I welcome the return of two of my favorite past guests, Daniel Noll and Audrey Scott, the husband-and-wife storytelling team from Uncornered Market! They join me to discuss travel as a tool for personal development, their recent trip to Ethiopia and East Africa, and MUCH more!

About: Twelve years ago we  left San Francisco with six suitcases, a one-way ticket to Prague, Czech Republic and no jobs. Everyone asked, “Are you crazy?” Five years later, we did it again. We quit our traditional office jobs in Prague, sold everything, packed our life into backpacks and set off with a one-way ticket to Bangkok, Thailand. Our sights were set not on a particular city this time, but on the rest of the world.

Our family and friends really thought we had lost it. Not at all. This was us wanting to live deliberately and not asking What if? with regret later in life. What was meant to be a 12-18 month creative sabbatical turned into seven years (and still going) of exploring and sharing stories from this big, beautiful world of ours through our blog and social media channels.

Our goal at Uncornered Market is not just to inspire, but to help others build a story-filled life, whether that may take them around the block…or around the world. You might find us on a grimy, overnight chicken bus in rural India one day and sharing the story on stage the next day. We have been described as adventurers, professionals, and most recently, as travelers and storytellers.

    For more information, visit http://uncorneredmarket.com.
