DATING A PERSON OF FAITH.
Dating can be difficult and rewarding at the same time. Knowing who you are and what you bring to the table is half the battle; the other half is knowing what type of person you want to be with and what qualities you are looking for in a mate. What have your relationships been based on? Does faith play a role in it? Does Faith help or hinder a relationship? #Faithbased relationships
Life Coach, Personal Development Specialist, Author and Radio Talk-Show Host Nazim Rashid is the guest speaker today starting a new series on Improving and Repairing Relationships based on his book Reconnected-How To Be A Mentor To Your Child-Self. In the media reports, reality shows and among friends, you hear a great deal about weddings; the feelings; the glow, the friends, the gowns, suits, the wedding venue, the biggest diamond ring, the fun, the excitement, etc. You don’t hear anything about what it takes to have a committed, long lasting, healthy, happy marriage. You don’t hear about the joy attained from a spiritually connected relationship. You don’t hear about how commitment carries over the challenging hurdles and how loving the spirit inside connects you to each other, no matter how the exterior changes over time. You don’t hear about these things because it is not in the fun and exciting category. There are tools provided in the book Reconnected that speak to the areas of longevity, health and real bonding that is needed for a long term relationship to exist.
Relationships/marriage are generally tough to manage on a day-to-day basis. Now add social media and you've created a new issue for relationships and families. There are numerous more opportunities for private conversations with people outside the relationship - this can create or worsen trust issues and even lead to dangerous situations. tonight we discuss social media and relationships with Elisabeth Mandel - Licensed Marriage Family Therapist.

Writeous Talk on Love and Relationship is a show dedicated to thought-provoking content that encourages meaningful dialogue about love & relationships between single men and women who desire to be married. We'll discuss real issues that women talk about among themselves and men talk about among themselves, but rarely discuss openly between us. This show is not intended to pit men and women against one another as shows do which spark ratings/listenership, but does nothing to better our collective or individual understanding of one another which will ultimately improve the quality of our relationships. That is the mission and purpose of this show.
ABOUT YOUR HOST:
Derek Q. Sanders is a published author, blogger, public speaker, songwriter, and a musician. He has traveled the country as a musician on two consecutive tours with international spoken word artist, Mike Ellison.
On love & relationships, Derek speaks from a place of transparency and truth. He writes from two key premises (1) in the current societal landscape, women are not only undervalued, they are devalued being routinely objectified daily through mainstream media and entertainment. He provides insightful content that uplifts with truth & love. (2) There are far too few platforms that encourage open and honest dialogue between men and women that center on real issues that affect the health and well-being of our relationships. He creates that needed space.
Derek's mission is to foster strong healthy relationships by providing thought-provoking commentary that creates the atmosphere for dialogue that invites meaningful conversations between men and women to improve the quality of our relationships by finding and offering viable solutions.
Long-distance relationships are not for the faint of heart. Sure, the beginnings of love feel like hearts and giggles and imaginings of what’s to come, but what about the lagging times in the middle when you’re physically apart, and love and admiration start to wage a private war against life-sized fears and doubt? Is this relationship worth it? Are you fooling yourself? Does this person really like me? Do we have what it takes to survive this?
Take a break from those self-defeating thoughts for a moment and consider this: it’s perfectly natural to feel doubt and fear in the lulls of a long-distance relationship. In the frustrating times between those magical long weekends and planned visits, you just want to spend time with someone that you really like and who you want to really like you, too. You need reassurance that your strong feelings of love and admiration are reciprocated. So what do you do? How do you cope with a long-distance relationship?
But before you judge your friends in long distance relationships, stay tuned in to the show tonight as we discuss 10 ways that long distance relationships can help, rather than hurt, a couple: "Positive Controversy"

Proverbs 10:20-24 (KJV)
20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
Join I Huggy & Chris Mac Gibbon as we catch up and talk about what we've been up to in our lives lately, our current life dramas, when friendships go bad, and basically in a nutshell..
other people disappointing/failing you.
I mostly will focus on asking Chris about his own personal life, and of course doing a podcast about it, which sometimes is the most strong way of expression that I believe goes a long way of getting to the bottom of things, and what not.
Of course, the shows are as always, no gossip, no drama, no names being brought up shows, and if any of it is, is totally the responsibility of the sole individual saying it, not the host or other co-hosts or guests on the show should or would take responsibility for such.
To each their own!
