    Bailey Chase

    in Entertainment

Though home to actor BAILEY CHASE is Hollywood, it may just as well be on the range since his more memorable roles to date feature him on the western front.  Chase currently stars on A & E’s critically lauded contemporary crime thriller LONGMIRE based on the best-selling series of novels by author Craig Johnson.  He portrays Big Sky country Deputy Branch Connally; a go-getter with blind confidence whose political aspirations often trump his motivation to solve crimes.
Though Chase most recently starred on DAMAGES with Rose Byrne, he is perhaps best known for his portrayal of swaggering Detective Butch Ada on TNT’s acclaimed SAVING GRACE.  Chase has since completed the thriller SUMMONED, thereby adding Cuba Gooding, Jr. to his already impressive list of Oscar-winning co-stars inclusive of Holly Hunter and Glenn Close.  Next on the horizon is the lead role in the big screen adaptation of the Pulitzer prize-nominated novel TAO OF SURFING.
Born in Chicago, but raised in Florida, Chase went to a boarding school where he excelled in athletics and was offered a scholarship to Duke University.  After graduation, Chase moved to Hollywood but was unsatisfied and took a leave to hone his craft at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art where Shakespeare took center stage.  Upon his return, he made his film debut in Adam Shankman’s COSMO’S TALE which screened at both Sundance and Cannes.
After a few years in NYC, Chase now calls Los Angeles home with his wife, Amy, and their Golden Retriever, Blue.

That's Novel interviews Authors Samantha Chase & Tawdra Kandle

    in Books

Samantha Chase on Amazon: http://amzn.to/1Lm5sl7 New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

Tawdra Kandle on Amazon: http://amzn.to/1OY5beN Tawdra Kandle writes romance, in just about all its forms. She loves unlikely pairings, strong women, sexy guys, hot love scenes and just enough conflict to make it interesting. Her books run from YA paranormal romance (THE KING SERIES), through NA paranormal and contemporary romance (THE SERENDIPITY DUET, PERFECT DISH DUO, THE ONE TRILOGY) to adult contemporary and paramystery romance (CRYSTAL COVE BOOKS and RECIPE FOR DEATH SERIES). She lives in central Florida with a husband, kids, sweet pup and too many cats. And yeah, she rocks purple hair.

The Race Trim MotorSports Hour #41

    in Sports

The saying goes, "the first cut is the deepest" and for NASCAR's Jimmie Johnson that is certainly true. "Mr.6-Time" will not be part of the conversation for another Championship this year, after finishing 41st last week in the final race of the Challenger round at Dover International Speedway. He wasn't alone, of course. First-time Chase racers Jamie McMurray & Paul Menard also bowed out along with MWR's lone pilot, Clint Bowyer.

Not to worry, TRD is well represented with all 4 Joe Gibbs Racing drivers in the mix of 12. Jeff Gordon is defiantly moving forward as well and stands his best (?) chance to get his first 2015 win over the next 3 weekends according to some. How did your guy do? Get in the conversation; the "garage" is open for just an hour tonight from 7-8pm so call in to: 347-826-9964.

There's no NHRA this week, but there will be a recap of CWT & Xfinity series action which ran last weekend. Erik Jones sits in the "driver's" seat for NCWTS at the moment, while defending series champ Chase Elliott hopes to upset current NXS leader Chris Buescher.  There'll be the usual Fantasy chat ahead of the start of CUP action tomorrow evening at 7pm, fast-paced and light-hearted give & go with the fellas and they're hoping to hear from YOU, too.

Get in the "garage" & get in the "HOUSE". . . Frat House Sports this evening starting at 7. Call us up: 347-826-9964!

    in Relationships

During the times of unrequited love, of relationships that you would like to be stronger, or associations that you may desire to be different people fall into a state of longing and lack.  The question that should be asked when you find yourself in this state is, "Does this relationship honor you?"

  • Talking in Circles: Dover Review; Theriault crash - SAFER Barriers

    in Sports

On today's episode of Talking in Circles, we talk about the running of the AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway. That was the end of the Challenger Round of the Chase, and four drivers have been eliminated. One of the drivers eliminated was Jimmie Johnson. We'll break down why the 48 team was eliminated, and talk about what the 12 that advanced need to do to not get eliminated in the next 3 races.

During the victory celebration for Kevin Harvick, his #4 Chevrolet got into the wall. This raised many eyebrows among his competitors because they're wondering why that car got into the wall and got damage? Were Kevin Harvick and the 4 team trying to cover up something illegal on the rearend of the car? Or was it just a coincidence. We'll talk about that.

Also, the number 78 Furniture Row Racing team was handed a P2 Penalty for something that took place during inspection, prior to Dover. We'll talk about how inconsistent that ruling is, and whether or not we think it was the right call by NASCAR.

With the first round being over, we'll give our predictions of which 8 of the remaining 12 drivers will move on from the Contender Round, and into the Eliminator Round (round 3) of the Chase. The races in this round are Charlotte, Kansas and Talladega. Last season, this round eliminated some note worthy names including Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Will we see this happen again?

One of the hot topics coming out of this weekend was the crash by NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, Austin Theriault. Theriault, a driver for Brad Keselowski Racing, got tagged by his teammate, Tyler Reddick, and sent into the outside wall, head on. The wall that Theriault hit didn't have a SAFER Barrier, and his wreck resulted in a fracture in his lower back. We'll talk about why there still isn't SAFER barriers around these tracks...

And also your phone calls at 917-889-8280 come join the conversation!
