    BAGHDAD ER: Fifteen Minutes

    in Military

The June 28, 2012, episode of American Heroes Radio features a conversation withMajor Todd Baker, USA (ret.) who served as chief of the Emergency Medical Treatment (EMT) Section of the 86th Combat Support Hospital; and, is the author of Baghdad ER: Fifteen Minutes.
Major Todd Baker, USA (ret.) “is a board certified emergency physician who served as chief of the Emergency Medical Treatment (EMT) Section of the 86th Combat Support Hospital. In 2006 he joined the medical staff of Madigan Army Medical Center where he served as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine for the University of Washington. During his fifteen-month tour, Dr. Baker served as the Emergency Medicine Consultant to the Army Surgeon General for the Iraq theater. He has been published in multiple medical journals during his seven plus years serving in the Army including Annals of Emergency Medicine and EM Clinics of North America. His academic interests focus on emergency ultrasound techniques and trauma resuscitation and he was instrumental in updating the medical ultrasound systems used in combat support hospitals throughout Iraq. His military decorations include the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Action Badge, and the Meritorious Service Medal among others.”  Major Todd Baker is the author of Baghdad ER: Fifteen Minutes.
According to the book description of Baghdad ER: Fifteen Minutes, “The first hour after a major trauma is known as the Golden Hour. During those sixty minutes, every step in a patient's resuscitation can mean the difference between life and death. In Baghdad, American military personnel would bleed to death within minutes. We did not have the Golden Hour. We had fifteen minutes. This is our story.”

Deepertruth: Confirmation This Is My Vow, I will Be Faithful

    in Religion

Pope Gregory the Great (604 A. D.) explained it by pointing out that such charismatic signs were “necessary in the first days of faith, but not in later years”(Homiliae in Evanfelia, Hom 29.4).

The Holy Spirit is poured out upon the recipient through the invocation of the Bishop. During the Easter Vigil the Priest is authorized to Confirm by proxy for the Bishop.

What a great blessing and honor it was to participate in this process while serving in Iraq.

In Iraq I was graced to be one of the
leading Catechists is Baghdad as we Confirmed all of the Candidates and Catechumens.

The miracle is that all those receiving this great Sacrament receive the Holy Spirit with all the blessings, as those from the beginning.

Pope Pius states in his encyclical, Mediator Dei, 11/20/47, “…that we learn of confirmation through its liturgy is significant. This highlights the importance of liturgy as a means of knowing and transmitting religious teaching.” As water is used in baptism, olive oil, perfumed with balsam is used in Confirmation, the Sacrament of the Holy Spirit. It is Pentecost extended throughout the world, perpetuated and made ever present in the church. It is a call to spread the Kingdom of Christ, to spread the message of salvation.

Is Chris Kyle's Killer a Muslim Jihadist?

    in Politics Conservative

Routh was a prison guard over Muslim terrorists at Bilad Airbase in Baghdad in 2007. He never served in battle, but spent most of his time looking and talking to Muslims in jail. He likely interacted with the inmates and may have converted; prison has a higher conversion rate than any mosque. Also, why would he kill a Navy SEAL known to have killed so many terrorists?

During a phone call with his father, Routh expressed sympathy for the detainees and discontent over how the US was conducting the war as well as his reluctance to engage in combat. While working as a guard at Balad Air Base, Routh laments his [Muslim] prisoners’ poor living conditions.

College Professor Makes Students Recite Anti-American ‘Pledge of Allegiance’

“I pledge allegiance to and wrap myself in the flag of the United States Against Anything Un-American,” reads Angeletti’s version. “And to the Republicans for which it stands, two nations, under Jesus, rich against poor, with curtailed liberty and justice for all except blacks, homosexuals, women who want abortions, Communists, welfare queens, treehuggers, feminazis, illegal immigrants, children of illegal immigrants, and you, if you don’t watch your step

Before Beheading, Children Refuse To Say They Will Follow Mohammed, Tell ISIS: “No, We Love Jesus”

A British vicar based in Baghdad said Islamic State militants hounded Christians out of their homes and threatened to kill their children if they did not convert to Islam

Globalists Exploit ISIS Threat to Empower UN

Establishment forces from around the world are exploiting the threat posed by the terrorist group styling itself the “Islamic State,” often referred to as ISIS or ISIL, to advance globalism and to further empower the United Nations. Indeed, the barbaric terror organization, which Vice President Joe Biden recently admitted was created, armed, and funded by the Obama administration’s supposed “anti-ISIS” coalition, is now being paraded around by globalist extremists to push a dizzying array of longtime establishment goals. Without a massive public outcry, they may succeed.
