I met my first African American Athiest here in Las Vegas in 2003, he was my roommate and workmate ! At the time I did not know but he never responded to my words that I spoke out of scripture ! Brother Will was 10 years older then me and grew up in Chicago as he and his family are Christians ! He told me he was raised in a Baptist Church but thay was all said ! In April of 2002 we became roommates at the Southcove Apt on 15 th street & Fremont in Downtown Las Vegas ! What we had in common was we were both African American's, worked Day Labor together and we liked partying ( Crack) and Women ! I liked Will, he was like a big Brother to me and he was very generous and he never said anything about my belief in my Lord or interfere with my daily prayers and scripture study ! How it was revealed to me, we used to quote our beloved Brother Malcom X to each other ! Then one day he said Brother, I don't believe there is a God or a Devil but he never said the reason he stopped believing in a God nor did I asked him ! The thing is, I felt Will was in my Life for a reason, to lead him back home ! This is the Story of Brother William Gardner for Chicago, Illionois RIP- 2011 !

Is it just Rocket, or did this year's NFL Draft zoom by rather quickly? The first round went down Thursday & the first two picks were automatic in my opinion. Lots of picks were made. This week's lesson is in the art of discrimination.
Have an open mind when this new and very tempting situation presents itself, but only go midway to meet it. Look and listen, and the truth will be revealed well before you become completely engaged and are involved in a downward spiral of negative energy. Be on notice to protect yourself and honor your sacred space. Find stillness in the potential chaos. It is here you will find the truth that will serve you.
In all things there is
Dark and there is light,
Yin and yang.
Do not be seduced by
Flattery or riches.
In your situation, attempting to be in control is folly. You cannot control what the heavens bring your way. Simply let this yin energy flow through you. Do not retreat, even if you feel afraid. Use your fear as fuel to look deeply into the situation and it will bring clarity and light into what was previously held in darkness. Above all, do not turn your back on this force. Bravely take the risk to face your fears, and the darkness will become light. Your weaknesses will become your strength, and your tears will give way to joy. Grieve for what or whom you must let go of and make your move into with the lightness achieved as you move to satisfaction and completion.

"Midlife is the time to let go of an overdominant ego and to contemplate the deeper significance of human existence." ~ C. G. Jung
Most people have heard the term "mid-life crisis," but some are not very fond of it. Are you? Or, do you see yourself savoring the second half of your life with renewed energy and ambition?
According to Pew Research, "middle age is the most demanding and stressful time of life for most people." Baby Boomers (born 1946-1964) find themselves in a funk - pessimistic about their future, stressed by unexpected problems, and increasingly leaving long-term marriages behind. So what has happened to make midlife so difficult?
Tune in as we chat with Bruce Peppin, author of The Best is Yet to Be: Moving Mountains in Midlife. Let him inspire you to live an inspired second half no matter what challenges you may be facing.
