Glamberts around the world are squeeing with excitement over Adam Lambert's appearance next week at the "Nile Rodgers Dance Party - East End", a show to raise funds for the charity All For The East End (AFTEE). Hopes run high that Adam will perform live with Nile and Electronic Dance Music's current darling, Swedish DJ Avicii, on "Lay Me Down" (rumored to be the next single from Avicii's new album). We are delighted to be joined on our show this week by Mary Morgan, Executive Director of AFTEE. We'll learn all about the organizations' mission, its connection to the legendary producer. And of course we'll find out if she's a Glambert! Send us your questions about the AFTEE show!

So this is part 2 of the FIRST Saturday ShitShow. The first part was a comical talk show between Chico, Smalltine, and Fuego (sadly still no sign of Smack Daddy Stephen). But now here's a mix from Chico featuring a song from P0sted ! Follow us on Twitter @Donkey105x9 and also follow every member's individual Twitter accounts. You won't be disappointed. Also for all business inquiries please email us at Donkey105.firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope you enjoyed the show and we will be back soon!
Triple threat talent Carl Thornton debuts the perfect summer dance anthem that will inspire and ignite the clubs with his debut single, “Get Up!” From the opening notes, one can hear a melodic and irresistible drive with an electrifying and pulsating beat that entices you to move with unabashed joy until the song is over.
After traveling the world and performing professionally for ten years, Carl has not lost sight of his goals from an early age where he vowed that singing was what he was destined to do. “Get Up!” is the very first song Carl has written where he confidently steps out as an artist.
Blending velvety, rich vocals, the song is both rhythmic and the flawless mix of pop and electronic music taking inspiration from Usher, Calvin Harris, and Avicii.
“GET UP!” is now available at iTunes, Amazon, and CDbaby.com. Four exclusive remixes will be released soon with an accompanying music video shot at Harlem Gay Pride Parade in June 2014 and will be released later this summer.
On this somber anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and in a world wracked by violence and injustice, we are focusing today on the positive, the good that comes when people gather to celebrate with music and dancing to support local farmers and a vision for a sustainable future. The AFTEE Dance Party on August 19th brought together people of all ages and persuasions to enjoy hours of great music from legendary guitarist and producer Nile Rodgers and a slew of guests including Adam Lambert and Swedish electronic dance music rising star Avicii. Rodgers predicted that the AFTEE event will be the “greatest dance party the East End of Long Island has ever seen.” Glamberts were there in force, and some of them will be joining the show tonight to share their adventures. We'll be playing music recorded live at the concert, so bring your dancing shoes!!
What an amazing summer this has been for Nile Rodgers, master of the grittiest, bad-ass funk guitar on the airwaves ever since the Disco era. Nile has survived decades of toiling as a studio musician and producer in the shadow of superstars like Madonna, David Bowie, Duran Duran and Big Bird (yes, Nile played on Sesame Street), as well as the hard-driving leader of Chic, and finally is enjoying his moment in the limelight. Today club dance music is back stronger than ever, and Nile has an international hit with "Get Lucky", his collaboration with Daft Punk.
After being diagnosed with a life-threatening cancer diagnosis, Nile threw himself into work with the energy of ten mortals, writing his best-selling memoir "Le Freak: An Upside Down Story of Family, Disco, and Destiny", embracing new technology with his blog and Twitter account, and reaching out to work with artists like Adam Lambert and Sam Sparro ("Shady"), Daft Punk and current EDM phenom Avicii ("Lay Me Down", with Adam Lambert). What's not to love about this man? His openness, resilience and sheer joy in making and sharing music are winning a new generation of fans.
