Random Talk is a product of a long standing friendship, now coming up on 15 years, Carol and I came up with this brilliant idea. Recently on one of our weekly walks, we decided to give people a look into our great discussions and weekly rants.
Friends since 1999, our friendship has taught us patience, forgiveness, support and a host of other lessons. Since then we have both become college graduates, working professionals, business owner, wives, and Carol a mother. We hope to continue our loving friendship for years to come.
Show aired 9/17/2014 @4:30pm

The Camino de Santiago (also known as The Way, Camino Francés and others) – the 500-mile path that starts just over the border of Spain in St. Jean Pied de Port, France. From there, the Camino winds through 4 of Spain’s 15 different regions.
First, travelers make the grueling trek up and over the Pyrenees Mountains, and descend into Navarra – a vibrant, green expanse of mountainous highlands and home to the famous Running of the Bulls in Pamplona. Next, they pass through La Rioja – full of rich vineyards that produce the wine for which this small region is famous. The bulk of the Camino passes through Castilla y León – in which lies a terrain that many find to be the most challenging – the Meseta. This flat, seemingly endless landscape of green and wheat colored crops is said to remove all external distraction, leaving a pilgrim with only their thoughts for company.
A rare few do the Camino in as little as 20 days, trekking close to 25 miles a day. The majority of pilgrims take between 4 and 6 weeks to walk the entire 500-mile journey. Though it is traditional to walk the Camino on foot, some elect to do it by bicycle or horse. Whatever one’s method of transportation, whichever Camino one chooses to do, and however fast one’s pace is, each of the millions who have stepped foot on the Camino feel its inexplicable magic and are forever changed by it.
Don't miss another special 'Camino' show with Christopher and his good friend, Jean Callanan, who has traveled the Camino, and will be sharing some advice on how to prepare for your Camino, some great websites, books and other valuable Camino resources! Jean will also recount some of her fondest day-to-day memories of life while on the Camino. This is the 2nd time Jean joins us for another uplifting Camino chat!

How to Self-Medicate Without Drugs
Self-medication is a human behavior in which an individual uses a substance or any, external to the body influence to self-administer treatment for often un-managed, undiagnosed physical or psychological ailments. It can also be described as the medication of oneself without professional supervision so as to alleviate an illness or a condition.
At one time or another we have self-medicated. Any time you have taken an aspirin to relieve pain or to help you relax, you have self-medicated.
What if you could self-medicate while taking care of yourself? What if self-medication didn’t have a negative connotation. How would you like to take care of yourself through the power of your mind? Self-medication with the power of your mind is this weeks topic.

To be a great communicator or leader, you must know your audience. When communicating with an audience, it’s important to know that people switch from external processing (listening) to internal processing (thinking) when their specific information needs have been fulfilled. Knowing which communication technique to apply at the precise time can be mastered by understanding different brain types. That is our focus on this edition of, “The Strategist Radio LIVE."
Increasing your value and becoming indispensible in the #workplace isn't difficult if you follow a few key principles. Don't worry... it doesn't involve working 70 hours a week either. You just have to be willing to do what most people refuse to do. Let's face it, no one is going to pluck you up from the daily grind just for showing up and doing your work. The line between those who rise up and those who don't is pretty thin. The difference between you and the next guy isn't your age, your gender, your education, or any other external thing. The difference lies within you. It's about #selfleadership and figuring how to think differently about your future and your #success.

Conditions for Deliverance
The believer is delivered from the power of Satan and his demons. Proof text (Col. 1:12, 13: Eph. 2: 1-3).
Like other promises, the Bible solution is not automatic. As we voluntarily meet God's conditions for deliverance, Christians are provided with complete protection from fiery darts of the enemy Ephesians. 6. Armor is designed for defense from external-not internal enemies. Armor is not always in place. There are many Christian-leaders that have problems with no solutions. They see many discouraged people who give up and are dropped by the wayside.
In some cases, suicide is treated as a “right” and many ministers do not have the ability to find a solution within the framework of their theological understanding.
Personal experience is certainly not the basis for the interpretation of the Bible.
