A Conversation w Author Paul Lewis, "After The Devastation"

    in Spirituality

In 2024, the world is on the brink of nuclear war and environmental disaster. Nora Del Bosque tells her husband, Aden Delaterre, she must go to Chicago, to the new headquarters of the Un, to report on a crucial meeting. With the world situation looking grim, Aden fears for Nora's safety. As an environmental specialist, he understands the danger all too well. His fears are confirmed when global disaster strikes during Nora's trip, and the two are lost to each other. In the ensuing years, they each lead lives in isolated communities without modern technology or the conveniences once taken for granted. Both become leaders within these fragments of civilization, facing a wide range of conflicts. In the process, Nora and Aden discover their own intuitive awakening and come to know and rely on their personal spirit guides-in hopes of one day finding each other. In this tale of romance, political intrigue, and mysticism, humanity faces a post-apocalyptic crisis of devastating proportions.

Empty Womb, Empty Tomb -- Write Stuff -- 6/30/2015

    in Entertainment

Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

When a woman longs for a child it is a deep desire in her heart. The thought of a little baby boy or girl thrills her in a way that nothing can. Dreams and visions of the baby float through her mind. Sometimes when she holds another baby in her arms, she may inhale that clean, innocent scent of the baby and kiss the little one's forehead or cheek in anticipation for the day she holds her own.

But what if that day seems to never come. You've tried and tried with your spouse and that miracle of life still has not appeared. Or, you've become pregnant and joy fills your heart. Tragedy strikes and you find out the little one growing in you is gone. The heartbreak consumes you to point you think you'd never get over it. And it's not the first time it's happened.

What do you do when you're carrying the pain and heartache of an empty womb?

Join me for the discussion with Quiana Johnson, author of Empty Womb, Empty Tomb as we discuss her memoir detailing her struggles with this same situation experienced by women all over the world. You can call in at 646-595-2083, press 1 to be live on air. Or, you can click on the link here: http://tobtr.com/s/7732803 Or, you can download the WLUV Radio mobile app. Tune in!

    in Politics Conservative

After last Thursday's excursion in blogcasting awesomeness, I received a call from Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington, (my hometown) informing me that my father had been admitted after having fallen down the previous day and remained on the floor until he was found that afternoon.  He didn't suffer any broken bones, but he was diagnosed with possible spinal meningitis.  This is why I found myself in Wenatchee over the weekend, yesteday, into today, and probably most of this week, just in time for the national headline-grabbing Sleepy Hollow wildfires.  The times, personally and politically speaking, could stand to be a bit less "interesting" for my tastes.  And that's without remote location-induced technical difficulties.

So climb back into the Wayback Machine (again) as we attempt (again) to revisit a podcast from (nominally) better days.  And, of course, your prayers for my dad are deeply appreciated.  After all, the MRI turned out just fine.

Bee Venoms Effects on Scar Tissues & Structures Episode#2

    in Health

    Noon, PST
Call in to speak with the host (516) 453-9430

I've read many reports and first hand accounts about how Bee Venom dissolves scar tissues.

I personally had a egg or avocado sized scar tissue on my left forearm. This was an old traumatized area.

I stung it about 12 times over 5 or 6 sessions. Now that last bit is pea sized or less. It's just back to healthy muscle now, no more deformities.

So let's do discuss Scar Tissue and the effects Bee Venom has on them.

I'm a pretty advanced BVT person, I tend to sting 10 - 20 times per session. I do 10 to my spine, then spot treat areas.

After your initial 40 back stings over a couple of months, if your detox is great, you can consider this. I personally feel stinging the arms, legs & head is a great addition to the lyme back treatments.

It feels like I'm dissolving many old, chronic structures.

We know scars block the body's energy pathways, the venom opens them up and let's it flow again.

Health is restored. The body obtains a sense of AWE!

How I Avoided Prednisone Withdrawal And Its Side Effects

    in Health

A crazy thing happened to me last month. I ran out of prednisone and had to stop taking it, cold turkey.

Many of you know that you don't just go off prednisone cold like that. You're supposed to wean yourself slowly, or risk serious withdrawal symptoms.

In prednisone withdrawal, you can experience fatigue, flu-like symptoms, mood dips, inflammation and swelling, among other symptoms.

All of these symptoms flare up while your body gets used to making its own cortisol again.

Some quick background info on me: Seventeen years ago my diagnosis was autoimmune disease. Over the years, my symptoms have included rheumatoid arthritis in every joint of my body including my neck and rib cage, along with brain and nervous system symptoms, skin rashes, hormone imbalances, etc. Some doctors have told me that my autoimmune disease was triggered by lyme disease, and is now considered chronic lyme disease.

It's complicated, I know. What else is new?

So anyway, back to the prednisone. I was almost off of it, finally, after using it for a flare in symptoms that I experienced this past winter.

I ran out on a Friday. I thought I had another full bottle in the bathroom cabinet somewhere. But I could not find it anywhere! My prescription didn't have any refills and my doctor's office wouldn't be open until Monday.

I freaked out. This meant that my knees and fingers and wrists were going to swell. I was going to get night chills and a sore throat.

I went into emergency mode and...

You'll have to listen to the episode to find out more!
