"the daily complaint"
Every weekday we answer client complaints on The Daily Complaint to provide direction and resources for both the person complaining as well as other consumers experiencing similar issues whether it be mortgage fraud, loan servicing escrow issues, loan modification runarounds or denials, short sale refusals, deed in lieu negotiations and credit card debt collector abuses and fraud violations.
I routinely look for posts to answer in hopes that it will not only bring optimism to those homeowners and borrowers in distress but also some basic information to assist in fighting the banks that are "too big to fail" like Bank of America and Citi but yet don't appreciate the bailout that we provided in their time of need. The debt collectors like Ocwen and Nationstar are simply just piranhas but they can be beat at their own game too just like the big banks can be defeated.
We are committed to answering consumer complaints and addressing everyday credit and debt issues on The Daily Complaint and I thank you for your continued support!
We hope you enjoy the Show...

Y aknow that voice you cannot stop listening to? The one that just makes you sigh and shiver at the same time? That voice? That voice is Kevin Sandbllom...What? You did not know I adore him? Now you do...Join us Sunday as I sit a spell and get nosey with the wonderful wonderful Kevin Sandbloom....
Kevin Sandbloom is a man who knows a little bit about rebirth and new beginnings. Throughout his career, he has continually reinvented himself. First he was a member of cover bands and then he did an extended stint with the popular Southern California band The Congregation. But, perhaps his most intriguing transformation has been as a traveling solo artist who wows crowds from Boston to St. Louis to his native Los Angeles.
Seven full-length albums and an EP under his belt, he is currently touring and promoting his latest recording, STILL BLUE [Sandbloom sings Joni], a complete cover of Joni Mitchell’s Blue. He has performed on stages as diverse as Poetry N Motion in London, England to Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York to Berklee College of Music in Boston to B.B. King's Blues Club in Los Angeles and is a fixture at music and poetry venues across the U.S. He brings a fresh sound to an industry weaned on Auto-tune without being retro or dated.
Regarded as a songwriter at the top of his game, he wrote the title track for Grammy-nominated guitar legend Robben Ford’s Supernatural album. He has also contributed music to many independent films including Laurence Fishburne’s directorial debut, Once in the Life and he had a featured appearance on the ABC Family series “Lincoln Heights.

On this morning's program, the hosts will be discussing private health insurance exchanges, pet insurance and more with special guests from Accenture and Hartville Pet Insurance Group.
For the first segment on today's program, Scott Brown, Private Exchange Offering Lead at Accenture, will be joining the program to discuss the firm's latest private exchange research. Accenture estimates enrollment in private health insurance exchanges doubled to six million individuals for the 2015 plan year. The company projects hypergrowth will continue through 2018, as a number of factors inhibiting early growth will dissipate, while several accelerators will spur further adoption. These factors, combined with the employer’s desire to meet consumers’ demand for choice and flexibility in a retail-like shopping experience, will lead to 40 million members on private exchanges by 2018.
The second guest on this week's program will be JoAnne Novak, AVP Business Development at Hartville Pet Insurance Group, providers of ASPCA Pet Health Insurance. As one of the oldest and largest pet insurance providers in the U.S., Hartville has committed itself to helping more pet parents have access to reliable and affordable pet insurance plans. According to the American Pet Products Association, roughly 68 percent of U.S. households have a pet, and last year, over $15 billion was spent on veterinary care. In this segment, JoAnne will discuss what’s driving the increasing demand for pet health insurance as a voluntary benefit as well as what makes pet insurance relevant for the workforce in connection with health care consumerism and private exchanges.

Middle Schools Strip Searvhing?
Two families are questioning the use of strip searches at a school in California.
A 13-year old and a 15-year old girl were both searched for drugs at Serrano Middle School.
They say a male security guard patted them down and was in the room when the girls removed their clothes and bras.
“She was asked to take off her jacket, take off her shirt, take off her T-shirt, unfasten her bra and pull her bra out — literally pull her bra out from the bottom and shake her breasts,” said the girl’s mother.
A quarter of a gram of marijuana was found in one of the girls’ bags.
The girls’ parents say it could have been planted because the bag was unsupervised for 40-minutes.
Linda Bardere, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino School District, confirmed to the San Bernardino Sun that the district is looking into the search.“We adhere to our board policy and (California Education Code) when a search is conducted. We take all parent concerns and complaints seriously, however due to student confidentiality we can’t comment further,” said Bardere in a statement.
Program Summary: April 25, 2015
@Naomi_Fowler produces for the Tax Justice Network the monthly "Taxcast."
In the April 2015 Taxcast: How just are our tax systems towards women? Plus: one of the USA's biggest corporations (and tax avoiders) is repatriating billions from offshore and re-focusing on good old manufacturing again, and remember how the UK Prime Minister was 'leading the world' in transparency measures not so long ago? We discuss the letter a former Cayman Islands lobbyist and Conservative peer wrote to reassure the tax haven that it was an empty gesture to distract from the proposed Financial Transaction Tax.
Then from Great Speeches and Interviews, Sacramento, CA "Inside the Police State."
Police officer Adrian Schoolcraft secretly recorded his supervisors telling officers to manipulate crime statistics and make illegal arrests from 2008 to 2009. The Village Voice series that broke Schoolcraft's story was written by Graham Rayman. Ira Glass narrates the story. "Police Officer Schoolcraft, who worked in the relatively high-crime 81st precinct in Brooklyn, was not a happy camper. Some might call him a malcontent.
In 2009, he began to secretly tape-record precinct roll calls at which commanding officers ordered cops like himself to refuse to take robbery victims’ crime complaints. Cops were also ordered to downgrade felonies — which are serious crimes — to less serious misdemeanors so that the precinct would appear safer than it actually was. Schoolcraft’s secret tape recordings might well have been ignored, had not the police department then done something shocking. On Oct. 31, 2009, Schoolcraft left his tour early, saying he felt sick, and returned to his apartment in Queens. What happened next tells us much about "the police state."
Financial elder abuse is on the rise in California. People are living longer due to advances in science, medicine, health, fitness and nutrition. At the same time, "seniors" (those over 65 years of age - which is still relatively "young" if you think about it) are some of the sole survivors of the "mortgage meltdown" and they are oftens the victims of financial fraud and "elder abuse." This husband and wife podcast discusses what elder abuse is, how to spot it, and the types of legal claims we handle as a California financial elder abuse law firm.
Common perpetrators of financial elder abuse
1. Attorneys (these professionals are in a position of "trust" and "confidence" and can unduly influence, coerce, misinform and cause seniors to make very bad financial decisions that can affect real estate, and stock portfolios). Attorney malpractice is another common claim in this area. We have seen "counseling" that has resulted in the loss of substantial equity in residential and commercial real estate estate.
2. Car dealerships (Car dealerships can try to "steal your trade" or engage in "bait and swtich advertising" or sock you away in a car loan that
5. Family (kids who see their parents as easy targets).
6. Mortgage brokers (lenders and loan officers can sock a senior away - and take exorbitant loan fees - to steer an elder into an unconscionable predatory loan (ex. a negative amrotization or "option arm loan") or fail to advise as to the advisability (or non-advisablity) of a reverse mortgage. These fees can be "taken" in bad faith resulting in serious daamges to an elder.
It’s another rare Friday where the guys are forced to keep the Frat House Sports Garage open late – just too much work to do before tomorrow’s Saturday night NASCAR racing at Richmond International Raceway.
First though we're looking back over last Sunday’s “Bristol Marathon” which saw 11 cautions, four rain delays, and a G-W-C finish. Matt Kenseth picked up his first checkered since 2013 while the “Pesky Boys” were wrecking each other and Denny Hamlin, with sudden mysterious neck pain, was replaced with wunderkind Erik Jones. What to make of it all? The “guys in the garage” are chatting it up.
We’ve got rare Saturday night racing at Richmond and we’ll have our own Brandon on the ground track-side. While drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin have a history here, could we see Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart get their first win of the season?
There’s drag racing going on this weekend at the Royal Purple Raceway, and Frat House Mike will be updating NHRA in his report on activities in Houston.
Uncle Mark is going Over the Wall; Sidekick’s got his Fantasy picks; and the rest of the guys are jumping in with their Eat-My-Dust Picks!
As it’s Friday night, we’ve got the beer . . . if you’re stopping by, you bring the pizza . . . and your comments to the Frat House Sports Garage . . . by giving a call to 347 - 826 - 9964!
