This week on Beyond the Veil, we will be discussing the additions to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015 (or the #NDAA) and how the new pilot program effectively legalizes the NSA Spy Programs. For those who are not as familiar with the NDAA, we will also give a brief summary of what the bill has done since we first started warning of its dangers in 2011. We will also be looking at further legalization of unconstitutional spying has taken place through the #IAA, or Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015. Join Switchblade and Orlando Phoenix of Anonymous North Texas tonight at 7pm Central.
Amendment I: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. (Edward Snowden)
Amendment V: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger;... (Obama administration has taken the extraordinary step of authorizing the targeted killing of an American citizen, the radical Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki).
Amendment VI: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury .... (Patriot Act & NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act)
Amendment XXVII: Prohibits elected officials from voting into effect their own pay raise. Ironically, the "Ethics Reform Act of 1989" stipulates that automatic salary increases will be granted, unless the congress holds a special hearing to vote against giving themselves a pay raise! This means that no matter how poorly they perform, they get a raise, and although it's unconstitutional, they have an "ethics law" which violates the constitution and gives them an automatic pay raise despite the unconstitutionality of the law.
Amendment IV: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. The lame duck Congress is getting ready to close their doors in Wasington, DC to go home for the Christmas/New Year's Day break. At risk is another "government shut down going inot effect on December 12th.
With the "Executive Order allowing amnesty" be allowed to go into force?
Will a budget be passed?
Will the 2015 Defense Authorization BIll?

Also joining us this morning is Gerald R. Molen, Academy Award Winner and established Hollywood producer of many films including Jurassic Park and Schindler's List. Molen's most recent works include the conservative documentaries 2016: Obama's America followed up by America (2014).
Molen has agreed to join us "In the Pickle Barrel" this morning as we attempt to answer the question, "Is America a source of pride, as Americans have long held, or shame, as Progressives allege?
Molen tell's me, "Beneath an innocent exterior, are our lives complicit in a national project of theft, expropriation, oppression, and murder, or is America still the hope of the world."
Is the "greed culture" in corporate America today out of control causing America to spiral us into economic doom?
Join the discussions this morning at 8AM-10AM EST.
On December 10th, 2014, Congress passed H.R. 4681 – the Intelligence Authorization Act for FY 2015.
House of Representatives Member Justin Amash discovered that a shocking new section was added to the bill. A completely new version of section 309 was inserted the night before by the Senate before being rushed to the House floor for a voice vote the following day.
In Representative Amash’s own words, “Sec. 309 provides a novel statutory basis for the executive branch’s capture and use of Americans’ private communications.” He goes on to say that the legislation is "the most egregious I've encountered."

LatinoTalk Texas is news, issues and interviews important to Latinos in America. On today's show, December 12th, I discuss the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe which is very important to Latinos in America, especially Mexicanos and ethnic Mexicans like myself. I read an article about riders in Illinois who rode to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines and delivered a rose while passing on horseback. I went on to read more news from the Catholic News Service concerning the Synod of the Family and Conscious Rights of Catholics under assault in liberal America both by the Obama administration and the liberal City of Washington DC which enacted similar ordinances as Plano, and Houston, Texas which challenge religious freedom and expression. Later in the show, a caller, Juan Martinez, a former police officer in the Dallas Ft. Worth area called to ask about 287g, a federal program that enables local law enforcement to question person incarcerated to determine if they should be evaluated by immigration enforcement. Martinez wanted to know if that program is still in effect. I reported that as I know it is but in reference to SB 1070 which was largely found to be unconstitutional but also still authorized in vague terms state and local law enforcement to be "assist" immigration and customs authorities. Previously, this was not true as the Supremacy Clause prevented state and local LEO from investigating such matters without 287g authorization. However, since the SB1070 case, states have new authorization and in places like Arizona, they uses it indiscriminately and over zealously. I am very worried about the laws Dan Patrick will pass here in Texas and use it to violate the rights of Latinos here in Texas simply because we may look "foreign." Clearly a violation of the 4th Amendment.
Sounds like "release the Kracken!," doesn't it?; "The federal government’s funding authorization expires tonight at midnight, and the Republican plan to renew it bodes poorly for the GOP’s leadership of Congress next year;" The Senate Intelligence Committee’s report on CIA "torture" benefits no one but our enemies and politicians looking to re-litigate previous presidential administrations; U.S. Climate "Fair Share" 82% emissions cut by 2030? Plus $810 billion in climate debt payments annually to poor countries? That ain't happening; Democrats are abandoning all strategic electoral sense along with the South. and, time permitting, today's Morning Jolt.
In September 2014, a group of lymphedema advocates converged upon the Capitol Hill to talk to the US House of Represenatives and Senators about the Lymphedema Treatment Act, as well as had a Congressional Hearing to empasize the importance that it means to many lymphedema patients, caregivers, physicians, and more. As a result, we ended up with 4 bipartisan lead sponsors from the House of Represenatives, and 91 cosponsors from many of the States. We really need about 200 cosponsors to help ensure that this Bill passes the House.
Guidance was provided by the Lymphedema Advocacy Group, National Lymphedema Network, and many other supporters of the Bill.
Join us on our Lymphedema Journey and Advocacy for a discussion on a reflection of those this year's journey at Capitol Hill (DC) and a call of action that we would like for you to do as soon as possible.

Discuss the need for timely, appropriate treatment for serious mental illness (SMI) through AOT programs. Your input is invited at (347)857-3293. Most families experiencing mental health crisis agree that their mentally disabled loved ones would be able to avoid psychotic episodes if the patients were faithful to their mental health treatment program and took their meds. However, many Americans with SMI are untreated, some because they have no health insurance that covers mental disfunctions, and others because patients refuse to accept treatment and take prescribed meds.
Assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) programs mandate continued psychiatric treatment and provide subsistence assistance (food and housing) for Americans with SMI. AOT programs reduce homelessness, arrests and incarceration, hospitalization, and deaths caused by the lack of treatment. That means less crime and safer communities, lower prison costs, and restoration to wholesome living for many sick people.
We congratulate the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), which endorsed unanimously the “authorization, implementation, appropriate funding, and consistent use of assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) laws to ensure treatment in the least restrictive setting possible for individuals whose illness prevents them from otherwise accessing such care voluntarily.” The IACP represents more than 20,000 members in more than 100 countries (see more at the Treatment Advocacy Center website). Nobody knows the needs of people with SMI like their psychiatrists, their families and police. With few exceptions, they agree that AOT would make ours a safer and more humane society. Please call and give your opinions on air.
