    Gwilda Wiyaka: Shamanic Principles

    in Spirituality

When the world didn’t visibly change after December 21, 2012, many people assumed the prophecies were wrong. Nothing could be further from the truth. In Gwilda Wiyaka’s new book, "So, We're Still Here. Now What? Spiritual Evolution and Personal Empowerment in the New Era" she delves deeply into the hidden principles behind effective shamanic practices that were used long ago by indigenous cultures worldwide to steward people through times of change.  The ancient practice of shamanism is a reliable means to align with the power generated by the interaction of Earth and stars and its hidden principles behind effective shamanic practices that were used long ago. Gwilda offers modern day applications of this ancient form that empowers the individual to navigate through today's chaos and learn to wield the energies to support longevity, personal power, and manifestation. Wiyaka is a preceptor for the University of Colorado School of Medicine; as such she provides instruction to medical doctors on the modern interface between shamanism and allopathic medicine. She is the founder and director of Path Home Shamanic Arts School, a Colorado state-certified occupational school that trains and certifies shamanic practitioners and instructors. The concepts she offers have been field-tested in her thirty years of private practice as a shamanic practitioner and teacher. Her website is: http://gwildawiyaka.com

We're Still Here with Gwilda Wiyaka

    in Spirituality

Gwilda Wiyaka is a dynamic, diverse woman of mixed heritage among which is Scots/Irish, Bohemian and Cherokee. While being born in the US, she grew up overseas and is widely traveled and familiar with many cultures. Her background with different societies and locations around the world and ongoing fascination with the way life works, prompted her life-long immersion into shamanism, an ancient Earth based healing modality present in most if not all indigenous societies. She has studied Shamanism for over 38 years and has been a practitioner for over 20 and a teacher of the shamanic arts for 15. Gwilda has studied with American Indian healers from the Seneca, Sioux, Navajo, Arapaho and Choctaw traditions. She has also received training in Tibetan, Core and Celtic Shamanism.
Gwilda will discuss shamanism and her new book, So, We're still Here, Now What? referring to the end of the Mayan Calendar 12-21-2012 which didn't bring the end of our world.
Gwilda believes, “In our exposure to increasingly sensational media where things are always blowing up, we have come to miss the subtleties of life. With constant input painting the world as a place of extreme volatility, it is understandable that we tend to superimpose this sensationalism onto everything around us, including the way we understand myths, legends and prophecies.
