Tonight, I will be talking with Ms. KS Oliver, Author of Still Standing.
I am a mother of two boys, William Sha’Kwan & Trystyn K’Shaun. I was born in New York and raised in Georgia. I am the oldest of eleven children. I have an Associate’s Degree in General Studies, and a certificate in Medical Billing & Coding. Although I have these skills, writing has always been my guilty pleasure.
On May 20, 2010, following the birth of my youngest child, I was diagnosed with SLE also known as Lupus. Subsequently, I was diagnosed with Discoid Lupus (Skin Lupus), Fibromyalgia, Fibrosis, Hypotension, Hypothyroids, Cricoarytenoiditis (Lupus in my voice box) & Severe Depression.
Over the past three years, my medical records are as thick as a how-to manual. I have stayed home in bed for weeks at a time in tears. I had a sore throat for over a year with no explanation. My hair has fallen out in clumps. My skin has broken out to the point where I was almost unrecognizable. God grace has spared me from death more than one person deserves, but even still I am here.
I want to raise awareness to this debilitating disease. I want people to understand it is not easy feeling like something controls your life more than you do.

Lynn Mullican was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where she currently resides with her husband and three children. She has woven her fascination with the paranormal into written works including short stories, dramatic plays, poetry, and full length novels. In Crystal Dragon, book one of the Bad Elements series she incorporates years of extensive knowledge in self defense and martial arts as well. Lynn began writing in her childhood, and to this day, her family has continued to support her dream.
Bad Elements: Crystal Dragon is the most popular of my books, especially since it was recently re-vamped and promoted the most.
BAD ELEMENTS: CRYSTAL DRAGON - Crystal Bouchard awakens imprisoned in an underground cell with no recollection of how she got there and with no memory of her prior existence. Held against her will, her captors threaten to kill her son unless she fights to the death in the underground fighting circuit. Nicknamed "The Dragon," she spends the next several years among werewolves and vampires. During the course of searching for her son, she slowly begins to recollect her prior existence before her imprisonment, pushing her deeper within the fighting circuit.

Author of The Pimp-A-Lo Syndrome Teena Harris joins The Woman at the Well, Beverly Black Johnson, to discuss the in's and out's of The Pimp-A-Lo Syndrome.
The “Pimp-A-Lo Syndrome” is a cross between a Pimp and a Gigolo coined by the author, to describe men who have a pimp mentality with gigolo tendencies. The book also addresses women's issues in relation to the roles we play in “Pimp-A-Lo Syndrome.” It basically breaks down the interpersonal and social political conditions of people in emotional turmoil. The Pimp-A-Lo Syndrome… the cross between a Pimp and a Gigalo…Volume 1, is a precursor to Rocked to Sleep Recovery…The Pimp-A-LO Syndrome Book & Workbook Vol. 2.

Blaize Nolynne took that literally when her dreams came into play after she graduated high school. She took her dreams of being an author to heart where she furthered her studies at the Institute of Children’s Literature, where she graduated at the top. The beginning of her career she was under penname for children’s literature, C. Araya Delvesuvio. Her first book out was ‘Sending a Message to Grandpa’ by August of 2009, which was a story about a young girl who dealt with her grandfather’s death in a very unique way. She admitted that the story was close to home, since she was very close to her Great Grandfather and was quite young when he passed.
By the end of 2012 her sequel, District One Stand By: On the Bleeding Edge of Change, was out as well as a book about terminal cancer. At the age of 24, Blaize reached for different heights in her career that she only thought were dreams in the beginning. She realized that hard work and determination had made her dreams a reality. Since the beginning of her career she has published nine books, in which ALL are now being published by publishing houses.
“District One Stand By:’ series is based upon my hometown, Standish, Maine. ‘The Captain’s Last Year, One Year to Live: Fighting the Flame and Cancer’ is based in Maine as well. There is something special about Maine that brings out my inspiration to write.” She admitted.
Proceeds of her book : ‘The Captain's Last Year: One Year to Live, Fighting the Flame and Cancer ‘ she is donating not just to cancer research, but to also help a local Maine Fire Chief, Jeff Douglass of Baldwin, Maine who is struggling with terminal cancer. She is putting part of the proceeds for his treatments.
