    Selena's life isn't turning out to be the fairy tale she imagined as a kid.

    That hope seemed to vanish long ago when her dad kicked her and her mom out of the house. This summer might finally hold the chance of a new beginning for Selena ... but having to live with her snobby cousin in Lake Lure, NC while waiting for her mom to get out of rehab wasn't how Selena was planning on spending her summer. She soon begins to wonder why she committed to give up her "bad habits" for this.

    Things don't seem too bad, though. Especially when Selena gains the attention of the cute neighbor next door. But when her best friend back home in Brooklyn desperately needs her, a secret that's been hidden from Selena for years is revealed, and when she becomes a target for one of her cousin's nasty pranks, she finds herself having to face the scars from her past and the memories that come along with them. Will she follow her mom's example in running away, or trust that God still has a fairy tale life written just for her?

    Audrey Lusk is my Guest Author on November 16th

    in Books

    I am delighted beyond words to have Audrey Lusk as my guest author November 16th! This wildly talented woman is not only a fabulous audio book narrator, but she's also an author! Come listen as she talks about audio book creation, and reads an excerpt from her erotic sci-fi shortie, Forking Around.
    * * *

    A sassy, dimension-hopping (sort of) woman finds an invisible man (sort of), and decides to "see" what might come of a relationship that isn't quite definable.

    About the Author:

    Audrey Lusk has led a life that reads like fiction. As a voice actor, Audrey's performances of many erotic stories grace the Audible "shelves". And yet, for someone who spent time in modern burlesque, made and sold her own Goth clothing line, and ran professional murder mystery parties, she's a surprisingly evasive and retiring individual - and insists that these things found her, not the other way around.

    Now that she's finally found a way to make writing and recording audiobooks her main focus, she plans to stick to it, averring triumphantly "I don't have to get dressed."

    Audio Books, Summers' Love by Stu Summers - First 15 minutes

    in Books

    Following the collapse of her interior design business, Kate Winston moves to Georgetown with hopes of making it as a sales rep for Tasmania, a company selling personal protection devices for women. But Kate's stun gun party implodes when her guests demand she sweeten the deal by providing autographed copies of In Heat, the latest best-selling novel by Stu Summers. With creditors breathing down her neck, Kate drives to Page Me Bookstore, where adoring fans clamor for a picture with the New York Times sexy and single romance writer.

    Stu expects the flirty smiles and women fawning praise, but when his editor phones to inform Stu that his latest manuscript failed to impress the publishing board, his carefully crafted career begins to unravel. Stu has one week to deliver a complete rewrite that meets his readers' demanding standards. And he would if only he could write. But he can't. Not a lick.

    For years Stu has paid a church secretary to ghostwrite his novels. Only now Hattie May Hall feels God calling her to write paranormal prairie Amish thrillers with an evangelical, Western twist. With Stu's career on the line and Kate's big sale in jeopardy, an unlikely pair of hearts collide, providing a shocking climax at the world's biggest stun gun ball.

    Claims against Cuba by US citizens with Jason Poblete, attorney

    in Politics

    Guest: Jason Poblete joins me for a discussion of claims against the Cuban government by US citizens.  He the author of various articles about this topic.    Jason is one of the founding partners of the law firm Poblete Tamargo based in Washington DC.   He concentrates his practice on global trade and compliance, defense and commercial export controls, sanctions, such related areas as anti-boycott measures and Interpol defense, as well as other international legal matters.  At the moment, there are are many US citizens who have open claims to recover properties and assets confiscated by the Cuban government.   The issue had always been a problem in previous US-Cuba talks until President Obama went ahead and reestablished diplomatic relations with Cuba.   The embargo still stands and that may be the best hope to settle these claims.
