    Freelance Acting in Haunted Attractions

    in Entertainment

On our first episode of Frightwaves now on BlogTalkRadio.com join host Mr. Maniacal and associates as we talk in a round table discussion about the benefits of freelance/guest acting in haunted attractions from both the actors and haunt owners points of view.
From their experience they have heard both positive and negative feedback from haunted attractions about allowing or excepting guest actors perform for a night or a weekend. This has sparked our first discussion.
Our chat room and phone lines are always open for those who wish to participate.
Frightwaves, produced by Price Entertainment and hosted by Mr. Maniacal who is joined by Skullhead, OrphanageFreak, and Michael "Myers" Ball, originally started out as a podcast featured on their site. Price Entertainment has moved the show into the BlogTalk format to allow for more interaction from their listeners.

    in Pets

If you missed Pet Expo last month, then you'll want to mark your calendars for next year because it is amazing. We ’ve invited our old friend Doug Poindexter to the show to elaborate on all the great attractions that were lined up this year…and of course, Pet Expo is absolutely famous for finding homes for hundreds of homeless pets that will be showcased by their respective rescue groups and shelters.  Doug will elaborate on all of this.  And after our halftime break, Teresa Ann Miller will be stopping by to tell the tale of how she trained dozens of dogs who acted in award winning and thought provoking film that has several messages about how we treat animals, and our fellow human beings.  It’s quite something.

CARL CREW is an American actor, screenwriter, author, artist and co-proprietor of the North Hollywood nightclub California Institute of Abnormal Arts. He has been called "the P.T. Barnum of Burbank Boulevard" by the LA Times, and in annual press polls by LA Weekly & other journalists his CIA club is consistently voted the most popular and unique nightclub in LA. His chilling & nuanced performance as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the controversial film Jeffrey Dahmer: The Secret Life was critically acclaimed.

Carl grew up in the theater. At 18, he turned his talents to another kind of show and became a mortician. His club contains many freak show attractions. A stuffed Pighuahua, half pig, half Chihuahua. A two-headed baby in a jar. A haunted painting which was stolen on Halloween. And the remarkable mummified Alligator Boy, which Carl, as a mortician, swears is not a fake. Its the mystery of the sideshow, says Carl. The mystery of deformed people. We want to stare. We want to know what makes them different. These pickled and petrified oddities, in the entrance, the bar, the outdoor garden, are but an overture to the unique performances held on the main stage that draw celebrities & curious seekers to the iconic venue. Come one, come all, come just as you are.
