Ask Dr. Applewhite about Discrimination of Blacks and Disabled

    in Education

The staff of White Apple Institute offers deepest condolescences to everyone affected by the massacre in South Carolina on June 17, 2015.

The term discrimination is too often associated with racism versus disability. In addition, racism and discrimination are frequently related in the U.S. media to the victimization of African-Americans and other Non-White groups by White Americans. As a result, African-American students with mental/learning or physical disabilities are often overlooked as they face the challenges of higher education and workforce success. Dr. Applewhite  is joined by Special Guest Professor Kelmer Muhammad (Educator, Entrepreneur, Author) to discuss discrimination and realistic solutions. Veterans conclude our show with their response to discrimination and news updates for Student Veterans with Mitch Caviness. This show is a rerun that aired previously on Students Discuss the Reality of Discrimination. 12-6-14.Your one-time or monthly recurring tax-deductible donation of $5 or more to White Apple Institute will support our radio broadcasts, and allow us to continue helping Adult Learners/Students and Veterans with disabilities reach their education and workforce goals. Ask Dr. Applewhite About Disability and Productivity at School and Work

    in Education

When most people hear the term “DISABLED” do they perceive a productive employee?, a college graduate with honors?  business owner? ASK Dr. Applewhite about how we are helping others “change the perception of disabled to differently-abled” at White Apple Institute. There are too many people, including Veterans, assuming that they are unable to succeed at school and work because of their state of mind and/or body. Educators, Employers and Health Professionals join Dr. Danita Applewhite in discussing how to adapt to Chronic Pain, Emotional Stress, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and other mood disorders . Special Guest Dr. Vernet Joseph, Author, Consultant in Productivity Training, and a Military Officer will discuss how he helps individuals to discover and develop their passions and produce success! Dr. Joseph shares how a person with mental disabilities and emotional challenges can achieve peak performance and develop as a transformational leader? Veterans join our VET2VET™ segment for news updates and commentary at the end of the show. This show is a re-broadcast aired on 4-5-2014 as “Becoming A Productive Student and Employee”.
