Advertising is a great way to promote your art. But traditional print advertising is expensive. There are hundreds of non-conventional ways to advertise your art that are a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising. Today’s show discusses many of these non-conventional ways to advertise your art. We will examine places to advertise where other artists aren’t, unique ways to advertise your art workshops, creative ways to advertise locally and finally, advertising on Facebook.
Our guest will be graphic artist Carroll Swayze. Carroll has a great story about how working smarter, not harder, has put more money in her pocket and enabled her to do more of the things she loves besides creating her work. A lifelong artist, after much trial and error she has found that balance we all crave.
Carroll is a great storyteller with many adventures under her belt. Doubt that she has been able to do this? Take a look at her schedule on her website, her passion for fishing is evident, and for music and the blues: http://www.carrollswayze.com/schedule.html

This is a black arts and culture site. We will be exploring the African Diaspora via the writing, performance, both musical and theatrical (film and stage), as well as the visual arts of Africans in the Diaspora and those influenced by these aesthetic forms of expression. I am interested in the political and social ramifications of art on society, specifically movements supported by these artists and their forebearers. It is my claim that the artists are the true revolutionaries, their work honest and filled with raw unedited passion. They are our true heroes. Ashay!

One Thing That We Got From Our Generations Going A Few Decades Back Was A Different Kind Of Communication. The Black Family Was Under Attack But Not Like It Is Today. The Black Family Was At Least Still Coming Together On A Higher Frequency In The Timeless Music We Still Listen To Today You Could Still Here A Message Of Coming Together. We Were Front And Center For All Of Our Athletes, And Entertainers, Because We Knew We Would Get A Performance Out Of This World. The Expressions Of Soul In Art, Poetry, And Created Things Like Our Style Of Dress, Our Cooking, And Dance Made A Overall Difference In Our Community As Black People For The Language Of Positivity Was Spoken, And We Had A Good Word From Grandma And Grandpa To Speak To Our Negative Situations As Well. The Communication Of Today Is A Constant Bombardment Of Those Things That Go Against Our Nature And Moral Make Up As A People. The Music Is Commercialized Garbage, The Art, Poetry, And Creations Of Today Is Almost No Existant Because Of Hardly Any True Coming Together Anymore. We Cool With The World Star Vibe And The Constant Bickering, Battling, Bullying And Slandering Between The Different So Called High Minded/Consciousness Groups And Individuals. With Social Media We Can Do All That From Afar And We Have Become Just As Satisfied With That, And Replaced That For Truly Building, Elevating And Uplifting The Frequency Of The People. There Is More Attention On What The Next Man And Woman Is Doing Instead Of Developing The Self. The Solar Beings Are Coming Together For The Build And It May Be The Last Time Before The Way Of The World Is Taking The Black Race Out Of Here For Good. There Is A Reason All This Is Being Allowed. We Need To Wake Up, And Awaken Before It’s Too Late.

Hosts Doug Field and Brent Macy are live in the studio this morning with special guests from Perk Health, WiserTogether and SelectAccount.
The first guest is Zach McGill, CEO of Perk Health. One of the most important outcomes of health care consumerism is the incentive for people to live healthier lives. In this interview, Zach will discuss why the ultimate goal of health care should be to keep people from needing to go to hospital and the problems with preventive health today.
For the second segment, the hosts welcome Vineeta Mooganur, WiserTogether, and David Cantu, SelectAccount, to the program to discuss how employers can fill the void with reliable and powerful consumer tools. In an effort to contain costs, the HDHP adoption rate among employers continues to grow. With these new consumerism-labeled strategies, many employees are faced with higher health care liabilities than they are used to. There is a growing need to understand best treatment options and the cost of care, making it necessary to provide easily accessible decision support tools and resources. To fill this void and help guide consumers along the continuum of care, SelectAccount and WiserTogether are partnering to provide comprehensive information in a convenient location.
