Children's Corner - The Art of Storytelling and Illustration, for children 8-14 .
The workshop is free (because J. L. Kimmel feels that all children should have access to the world literature and access to workshops that generally cost money that their parents cannot afford.)
There will be a prize awarded to the lucky winner of the illustration/story contest of a 50.00 gift certificate, a signed print from The Yawning Rabbit River Chronicle and a signed copy of TYRRC at each location.

What does art mean to our nation? What are the implications of national monuments? Join us as art historian Bruce Cole, Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington D.C., talks about art and our national heritage.
From 2001 to 2009, Cole served as the Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Appointed by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed by the Senate in 2001 and again in 2005, Cole was the longest serving Chairman of the NEH. Under Cole's leadership, the NEH launched key initiatives, including We the People, a program designed to encourage the teaching study and understanding of American history and culture, and the Picturing America project, which uses great American art to teach our nation's history and culture in 80,000 schools and public libraries nationwide. He also created the NEH's Digital Humanities Initiative and Office, which made the Endowment a national leader in this new frontier of humanities access and knowledge. Under his tenure partnerships were developed with several foreign countries, including Mexico and China.
Born in Ohio, Cole attended Case Western Reserve University and earned a master's degree from Oberlin and a doctorate from Bryn Mawr. He is also a recipient of nine honorary doctorate degrees. For two years he was the William E. Suida Fellow at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence. Cole has held fellowships and grants from the Guggenheim Foundation, the American Council of Learned Societies, the Kress Foundation, the American Philosophical Society, and the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a corresponding member of the Accademia Senese degli Intronati, the oldest learned society in Europe. He has written fourteen books and numerous articles.
Today’s colleges are hammering down that ancient ivied wall that for years has separated academia from the bustling realms of business. Higher learning centers like The New Jersey Institute of Technology have traded in the old “Learn first – then live” traditions for fostering learning in midstream of entrepreneurial action. Host Bart Jackson is joined by featured guest Judith Sheft, NJIT’s Associate VP of Technology Development and together they discuss faculty/student ventures; new funding and incubation programs; entrepreneurial courses; and technology transfer. Tune in and learn the opportunities for both students and existing businesses to launch, grow and profit.
How would you rate yourself as a listener in conversations about faith? Often times Christians can be arrogant and lack compassion when engaging others in apologetic conversations. However, 1 Peter 3:15 tells us to defend our faith with "gentleness and respect," and in our hearts "to honor Christ the Lord as holy." Tonight, Brandon and Jared talk about how and why Christians should approach these conversations with humility and kindess.
An artist turned author, Sarah Wathen is a storyteller by trade and a painter at heart. She was trained in Classical Painting at the University of Central Florida, then completed graduate studies in Fine Art at Partons School of Design in New York City.
Her first step into the world of independent publishig was as an illustrator, and Sarah quickly realized she wanted to write her own books rather than illustrate others. That reinvention came as no surprise to family and friends, who remember her as a child always ready to turn a tale. Hours spent under the backyard stairs with her sister - dreaming up imaginary friends with outlandish names like Afisha and Pekins, and designing social networks called the Plant Club and The Tutu Group - were recorded and illustrated, too. Copies still exist under lock and key! Sarah currently resides in Florida and runs the indie label, LayerCake Productions.

Prayer with the Prophets!
Let's pray like: Jesus, King David, Daniel, Prophetess Anna, Paul and Silas and “YOU”!
Luke 18:1 (KJV)
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Let us pray until we have the answer!
What is the Focus Prayer today if any?

The first of Paddy Fievet’s riveting new memoirs, When Life Cried Out: One Woman’s Spiritual Quest to Be Fully Alive is a adventurous page-turner that takes readers on a trip around the world as she seeks spiritual guidance and an authentic new life.
We relive with her a divorce, paralyzing agoraphobia and panic attacks, and startling metaphysical revelations. Her self-discovery and new-found spiritual connection emerges as not only a fascinating story but a wise resource for seekers who find themselves spiritually and creatively unfulfilled.
You know that, whenever Matthew Shell visits, he ALWAYS has something special to tell us :) This time is no different. With the young and reputable-to-the-extreme producer/business owner: Samantha Gunney. Now, Samantha's name in Hebrew means "Listener." That's exactly what this amazing woman has done in her short and shining time as songwriter, audio engineer, and certified Pro Tools professional. OH - and vocalist!
Samantha was born in Washington, D.C. - and her house was full of all kinds of music. Inspired early, she formed a band with her classmates and wrote songs for them - at age EIGHT! Her creativity soared as she grew - and expanded. She graduated with a B.A. in Communications. But Samantha wasn't content with just one part of her brain at full-tilt. She continued with studies in both Audio Engineering and Music Education. She knows how to record, mix, and edit - PLUS how to handle the business end of the industry. And her vocalization on a forthcoming project from Matt is something that you will NEVER forget. The song's story ALONE will keep us chatting!
Matthew has been gracious with giving us the opportunity to present new music time after time. His "Spiritual Relationship: The Deeper Meaning" has tremendous significance for him. Once again, the multiple genre project will feature those with whom Matt has trusted. Brilliant musical artists who communicate their art in various ways. Samantha allowed her angelic voice to be heard on "Prayer for World Peace." When you originally heard this song on "Hybrid Jazz", it didn't have that title. And therein lies the story :)
