Hear perspective on the latest with Common Core, how it is affecting children and families. Who in their right mind would think the Founding Fathers, heroes of WWII and Martin Luther Jr should be left off the AP US History? Well the mind behind it is the same one who helped author Common Core. While we can still add 1+1=2..let us call it what it is. There is a transformation underway and America's children are going to be taught to transform it by removing true history.
So many of our leaders today have America going in the wrong direction and it is proving very dangerous--same can be said for the direction our children is being sent. The motives of Arne Duncan, David Coleman and Tommy Bice must be addressed. The Bible says by their fruits ye shall know them. Children are suffering unnecessarily. Come find out what is being planned for them. Pray and do your part to let freedom ring.
... Education Secretary Arne Duncan called Hurricane Katrina "the best thing that happened to the education system in New Orleans" because it forced the community to take steps to improve low-performing public schools, according to excerpts from a television interview made public Friday.
Yes, he did say it. As reported in The Washington Post, Duncan's interview on "Washington Watch With Roland Martin" was scheduled to air Sunday on TV One.
I guess we need Hurricane Katrina's in every state of the union as far as this color aroused bigot is concerned.
The excerpts quoted an exchange between Duncan and Martin about the effect of the 2005 hurricane on the city's schools.
Martin was quoted as saying: "What's amazing is New Orleans was devastated because of Hurricane Katrina, but because everything was wiped out, in essence, you are building from ground zero to change the dynamics of education in that city."
Duncan was quoted as replying: "It's a fascinating one. I spent a lot of time in New Orleans, and this is a tough thing to say, but let me be really honest. I think the best thing that happened to the education system in New Orleans was Hurricane Katrina. That education system was a disaster, and it took Hurricane Katrina to wake up the community to say that 'we have to do better.' And the progress that they've made in four years since the hurricane is unbelievable. They have a chance to create a phenomenal school district. Long way to go, but that -- that city was not serious about its education. Those children were being desperately underserved prior, and the amount of progress and the amount of reform we've seen in a short amount of time has been absolutely amazing." Let's talk about Barack Obama's Education plans tonight on the slugfest. "If you can handle the truth."
Hear the latest in the news about the Common Core and its promotion. Hear about the latest ploy to lead citizens to a better deeper understanding of the Common Core and how to help improve it. Obamacare and Obamacore are called twin destroyers both started off with the same plot of let's pass it so we can know what's in it (or before they know what's in it!) Get informed and get involved

"The State Department of Mental Health's plan will now be moving IN to a school in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Tuscaloosa is joining the cities of Dothan and Florence in this initiative pushed by the Department of Mental Health and other state agencies. (see article below) This dangerous expansion of public schools into mental health treament is a problem that is facing all communities nationwide but few people are aware of it. Please read on and consider for yourself how this information should be seen in the light of other education reform underway, including Common Core Testing, to be fully understood.
This public school expansion into Mental Health brings together some very disturbing components of a system being put in place for the total "transformation" of education." Read more here. Let us study this new avenue and what it can mean to you.

Hear perspectives about the new Advanced Placement US History and why does it matter in this year's election and the future of America. Elections have consequences. Historical accounts matter.
