"I came to the topic of this book through my own struggles with pain. I developed severe pain, fairly suddenly, in my late 20s, after having enjoyed many years unencumbered by any health problems beyond an occasional cold or minor injury. Once my pain began, however, it seemed relentless. Even after I was diagnosed and tried various treatments, the pain persisted. The pain seemed to worsen out of the blue, which made my life unpredictable and frightening. But every so often I would experience a short reprieve."

No matter the size of the baggage, we all have it and it will affect the way we are in new relationships. Dating and relationships can be frustrating and, often, downright painful. Practice releasing regrets: When a relationship ends, it’s tempting to dwell on what you did wrong or what you could have done differently. This might seem productive—like you can somehow change things by rehashing it. You can’t. All dwelling does is cause you to suffer. When you start revisiting the past in your head, pull yourself into the moment. Focus on the good things in your current situation: the friends who are there for you and the lessons you’ve learned that will help you with future relationships.
Let yourself feel: Losing a relationship can feel like a mini-death, complete with a grieving process. First, you’re shocked and in denial. You don’t believe it’s over and you hold out hope. Next, you feel hurt and guilty. You should have done things differently. If you did you wouldn’t be in this pain. Then, you feel angry and maybe even start bargaining. It would be different if you gave it a second go. You wouldn’t be so insecure, defensive, or demanding. Then you might feel depressed and lonely as it hits you how much you’ve lost.
If you or anyone you know has experienced the pain of abortion, you will be blessed by the story and subseqent ministery of Inseong Kim, Inseong is the wife of Steven and a mother of three children. God allowed her to remain faithful to serve her family as the most important ministry. It has not been an easy journey in this culture. She was born in South Korea and lived there until she was in her early twenties, at which point, she she was finally able to join her fiance' here in America, and marry him. Inseong is post-abortive, but saved by the grace of God. The love of God was poured out on her and her family. Inseong’s special mission is to address the combination of abortion and legalism that can cause so much damage in us, our families, our church and our nation. The desire of Inseong’s heart is to share the love of Jesus with those who experienced an abortion or any trauma caused by abuse. When truth abounds and grace is shared properly, the fruit of freedom can be found. We are reminded of the more than fifty million babies who are dead, yet we have forgotten the millions of mothers and fathers who are wounded and broken. It is time for us to open our arms to those who are hurting and minister them.
