From the outset, Martha Reeves’ voice possessed an earthy, direct quality that distinguished her from other female singers - such as sultry Mary Wells or demure Diana Ross - at Motown. Her voice bore the righteous fervor of gospel and the flinty edginess of rhythm & blues, which, combined with Motown’s stylized pop-soul approach, made for a compelling package. Together with her backup singers, the Vandellas, Reeves recorded a classic run of singles in the mid-Sixties, most of them composed by the songwriting team of Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier and Eddie Holland. The Vandellas’ hit streak included what may be the definitive Motown anthem, “Dancing in the Street,” as well as such danceable blockbusters as “(Love Is Like a) Heat Wave,” “Nowhere to Run” and “Jimmy Mack.” This conversation is a real treat for our listening audience and those who loved Motown back in the day.
Roger Whitney known as The Retirement Answer Man. He began his career as a Financial Advisor in 1991. This allowed him to witness first-hand the rise and fall of the “new economy” and the Dot-com bubble that ended in 2000. This experience solidified for him that financial management is about people, not money, and that they are served best by advisors that are fiduciaries to their clients and have the heart of a teacher. In 2003 he left, at the time, the largest private bank in the world and, with two wonderful partners, established WWK Wealth Advisors

Composed and confident, Sofie Roberts is thrown for a loop when she runs into the one man who makes her feel like the weak-kneed, starry-eyed young girl she’d been years before—her childhood crush, Bryant Lewis. Seeing him all these years later makes her realize the feelings she’d had for him are still as strong as they were back then.
Bryant Lewis is surprised and impressed when he has a chance encounter with Sofie Roberts. She is no longer the shy, quiet girl he remembers from the neighborhood. She has grown into a sexy, confident woman. The attraction he felt from the moment he bumped into her was something he couldn’t deny.
Now that she is an adult and has the opportunity to tell Bryant her secret will Sofie take the risk of being rejected and embarrassed, or should she just let the old crush be just that—her secret?
Bryant has been stung—painfully—by a woman in the past. He isn’t looking for anything serious, but the electricity that sizzles between him and Sofie is something that can’t be ignored. Is he willing to move act on that attraction?
What happens when two people make a connection? When the desire that burns between them becomes so hot that sparks begin to jump? Will the crush be the start of a journey of desire and seduction, or will Sofie and Bryant let their fears and past hurts keep them from exploring where this chance encounter could take them?

WBOKRADIO / Intro To Info Is Honored To Interview "Mix Master Ice" From The Legendary Group "UTFO"
TUNE IN Wed Aug 11th At 6:00pm (eastern)
As We Sit Down With "Mix Master Ice" From "UTFO"
UTFO (which stands for Untouchable Force Organization) is an old-school hip hop group, popular in the 1980s, that was mentored by the contemporary R&B group Full Force. The group consists of the Kangol Kid (Shiller Shaun Fequiere), the Educated Rapper (Jeffrey Campbell) (also known as EMD), Doctor Ice (Fred Reeves), and MixMaster Ice (Maurice Bailey). The group's best-known single is "Roxanne, Roxanne," a widely acclaimed and hip-hop classic, which created a sensation on the hip-hop scene soon after it was released and inspired numerous answer records, most notably by Marley Marl's protégée Roxanne Shanté. "Roxanne, Roxanne" was originally the B-side of the lesser-known single "Hangin' Out." Because of personal issues, the Educated Rapper was absent for its second effort, Skeezer Pleezer (1986), which produced one notable track with the song "Split Personality." EMD was, however, on one album track, "Pick Up The Pace", also featured in the movie Krush Groove. In 2008, “Roxanne, Roxanne” was ranked number 84 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop.
