Join us tonight as we speak with Gregg Clark of "Where Shadows Walk" tours of Franklin, North Carolina.. You can visit his website at whereshadowswalk.com..
“Ghost tours can be rich and insightful, but they can be absolutely hokey,” explained Clark, whose mix of academic specificity, down-to-earth look and flair for weaving authoritative, captivating yarns, is anything but hokey. “We want everyone to know that this is not silly. These are so real, and the stories are grisly. Some of them are horrific and horrifying, but they’re real, and they represent chapters in the life of this town. They’re rich; they’re gritty; they’re real.”
The real-life history of Macon County, said Clark, is a sometimes ghastly, always intriguing tapestry of narratives that doesn’t need embellishing as much as it needs uncovering. So while Clark and his wife, Pauletta, may be the ones unearthing the past, they’re really just helping the past speak for itself.
For the Clarks, both teachers, what they do now is just an extension of a long-held love of history and a desire to fill a niche they’ve long lamented was empty.
Clark is a Macon County native who yearned for local history that he wasn’t getting in school.
This Monday I will interview my favorite politically incorrect cartoonist/satirest Antonio F. Branco and friend on "American By Design". Please dont miss this show as we will talk about how he pens his cartoons and the inspiration behind the man!
Branco describes himself as “somewhere between the Far Side and the right side of every issue.” He sits at his desk daily crafting comically and politically-incorrect cartoons that say with humorous satire what conservatives really think, but lack the opportunity to say to a broad audience. After years of listening to the squeaky wheel of the left advancing the cause of radicalism, Branco decided to use the power of his bully palette to advance the conservative movement. Conservatives worldwide can be glad he did. According to Branco, “The art and humor of political cartoons has since the dawn of the Republic been a way to sway those who might not otherwise be persuaded.”
“Branco is a surgeon and his pen is his scalpel, an instrument he wields with laser-like precision in cutting through the philosophical morass of liberal orthodoxy.”
First there was Franklin. Then there was Nast. Now there is Branco. A.F. Branco is the latest rising star in a long line of political cartoonists, and his work already surpasses some of the giants in the business. I encourage readers to enjoy his creative and humorous satire and to spread the word that Branco. At long last we have a conservative political cartoonist whose sharp mind, able pen, and incisive wit counteract the destructive falsehoods, distortions, and manipulation of the left-leaning mainstream media. Branco is a surgeon and his pen is his scalpel, an instrument he wields with laser-like precision in cutting through the philosophical morass of liberal orthodoxy.

Welcome to the first of our episodes on your money. There's a lot of fear about money and some of it is real, some not. Franklin D. Roosevelt said that the only thing to fear in the depths of the Great Depression, is fear itself. Oprah calls fear, false evidence appearing real.
